We decide to go for Inka Trail and it was the best decision we did. Our guide was Frank and his team, who cooked and carried&built up our camp was Mario, Abraham, Fermin, Marcelo, Florentino & Valerio. It is a great team, which make our inka trail to an luxury trekkingg tour ☆☆☆☆☆ The trekking was not easy, but the experience and views we have seen was unique & unforgettable ♡ We can highly recommend it!

An excellent experience. I loved every minute of it. Our guide, Frank, was fantastic. Patient, professional and welcoming, he showed us all the sites and answered all of our questions about Incan history and Quechua culture. The sites were breathtaking! Walking through the cloud forest was unforgettable. Machu Picchu is amazing but you’re missing out if you don’t take the time to do the hike. Challenging but rewarding. The cooks and porters were also fantastic too. They always had smiles on their faces and took care of all of the logistics so you can focus on the trek. Mario was an amazing cook. I don’t eat that well even at home. Delicious food. 100000% recommending your Inca trail tour with IncaTrekkers.

I can't recommend IncaTrekkers and Juve and crew enough. My friend and I did the Lares Valley / 2-day Inca Trail in July 2021. We were their first trek since COVID and we felt taken care of the entire time. Everything was planned so well, we felt safe travelling despite COVID, and had a once in a lifetime experience. I would HIGHLY recommend this company and this trip -- our staff were locals from the area, something you don't see often. These people were hit really hard due to the recent lack of tourism so we felt like we were supporting the local economy. The first night I was sick due to altitude and dehydration and the staff did everything they could to get me down to a lower altitude and make me feel as safe and comfortable as possible. The staff is what really differentiated this trekking company from others. In general, the Lares / Inca combo was great. The combination is a great way to see the Andes and more of the rainforest. Both were amazing! The views were amazing, the food was great (thanks Mario!), and the staff was incredible. Choose IncaTrekkers! You won't regret it!!!

My friend and I signed up with the Incatrekkers based on a friend's recommendation and we had a great experience! I'll use this review to focus more on Incatrekkers themselves. Our guide was Bernabe and he made us feel safe and regularly encouraged us. Gave us mental tips and encouragement. Let us go at our own paces but hovered around us in case we needed help. Also bought this oil from a flower to help us during the areas of higher elevation. From a safety perspective, he's trained in first aid and carried oxygen in his back, which made us feel better. The porters and Bernabe were all very useful, friendly and helpful. Food was fantastic and you eat all your meals in a pretty fancy tent considering where you are. Every meal was 2-3 courses and the porters even set up hot water for you to wash up. A few tips for those considering using Inkatrekkers: - We were a small group of 3 and all of us had some watery poops so bring diarrhea medication! Other useful things to bring include cold medication, magnesium for sore muscles, electrolytes for hydration, pain killers, and blister bandages. - Bring a small lock for your bag ... I had fancy waterproof socks that I stupidly mentioned over dinner and they were missing from my bag at the very end (for the last part of the trip, the porters take your bags as your explore MP and you are not reunited with your bag till you reach a reservation meet up point); originally thought I misplaced them but that's when I also realized that some food and snacks (very specifically, an apple) were also missing from my bag and I don't accidentally misplace apples normally ... people from other groups also mentioned finding money missing from their bags - Waterproof everything is a must. I went with a rain jacket, rain pants, rain boots (for around the tent, not to hike me), water proof hikers, rain bag for my backpack and rain poncho. That said, I hate the rain.

My wife and I selected Incatrekkers to guide our 4 day Inca Trail hike based on their glowing TripAdvisor reviews. We can safely say this organization exceeded our expectations in every aspect of the trip. This is a locally owned and operated company that prides itself in providing a unique, personalized experience for small groups (1-8 people). Since we visited in the shoulder season (late October), my wife and I would up being in a group by ourselves and yet we paid a comparable rate to what we would have with a larger organization. Our Inkatrekkers guide (Frank) grew up in the region and is expert in all things flora, fauna, and Inca—he gave thorough descriptions of each magnificent Inca site, pointed out details we couldn’t have found, and answered all our questions. Being a small group enabled us to get out in front of the thundering herd of hikers every day (some other groups had 15+ members) and set our own pace—often we felt like we had the trail to ourselves. Inkatrekkers has clearly forged local relationships and know-how to secure the best, out-of-the-way sites to camp and eat, and our guide was able to guide us thru Machu Picchu and other sites to avoid the crowds. The food was wonderfully delicious and prepared by our cook with a flourish (the reports of cake are true!!), and our porters who tirelessly scrambled up and down the trail with all our gear serve with joyful smiles. Inkatrekkers definitely fine-tuned the trip to meet our individual needs and it all came together seamlessly. I would give this group as many stars as I could, and can’t emphasize enough how happy we are with the service they provided.
