If you're looking for a tour guide that's safe, reliable, and professional, then look no further. I was very skeptical before my first-ever solo trip, but the guys at Ikaro worked with me and quickly made me feel like I was spending a week in Peru with my favorite cousins. Highly recommended.

My boyfriend and I were fortunate to have a private ceremony with Maestra Munay. She has a beautiful voice and powerful presence. Words can’t describe how powerful of a shaman she is. Daniel was also a very helpful translator, asking thoughtful and enlightening questions for us to process our experience with Maestra. They both seemed to genuinely care and were so in tune and attentive. Eric helped coordinate and find a beautiful location and ensured we worked with Maestra Munay. Eric’s communication was so helpful, asking all of my questions in a timely manner. Thank you so much Maestra Munay, Eric and Daniel. We can’t wait to return and do the retreat in the Amazon jungle.

Amazing place, great people, incredibly talented Maestra shaman Muni – feels like a family, loved every moment of my 6 nights experience. Maestra Muni has most beautiful voice and her Ikaros still playing in my head. Eric who is the manager and fearless leader of the retreat is absolutely wonderful. Can’t say enough how great they are.. If you are looking for authentic NON – touristy experience – it is THE PLACE!!!

Absolutely life changing experience. Erick and everyone involved at Ikaro are incredibly compassionate and knowledgeable. I came from the U.S and from the moment I reached out to them they were in constant contact, checking in with me, inquiring about my needs and feelings, and what I was looking for so that they could support me fully.
Once I arrived in Peru from start to finish they had everything organized, any rides I needed, busses, trains. The retreat center itself was clean and inviting and in a beautiful area of Peru.
During my ceremony and throughout the entire experience I felt safe, supported and in good hands. Integration and checking in after was thorough. In fact I am still in contact with people from the center and friends that I made while there.
As for my healing, which is what I went for, it’s been incredible and each day since I feel better and better and continue to have breakthroughs and insights.
I can not say enough good things about Ikaro and everyone involved. It’s a big decision to travel from the U.S to another country for something so intimate (especially as a solo female), Ikaro is definitely a place where you can feel safe doing so.

The Ayahuasca with Munay in the beautiful maloka, the attention of Edwin, the bicycling downhill over 35 kilometers with Erick, the stream which runs through the property and the family which hosted me - Don Arturo, Sr Jorge, Sra Sonia and cute baby Maya. All of the events, adventures and people mentioned above made for an unforgettable experience. Highly recommended for small or closely knit family or friends groups.

I had the best experience participating in the 3D/2N Ayahuasca Retreat in the Amazon Jungle.
Since it was my first Ayuhuasca experience and since I was travelling alone as a solo female traveler, I was a bit unsure which company I can trust with this kind of experience. However, I think I've made the best possible decision in booking with Eric and Ikaro Ayuahasca Retreat.
The communication with Eric, both before and after the retreat, was great and from the moment of the pick-up until the drop-off in Cusco, I felt well taken care of by the team. The whole team consisted of wonderful people: the guide and translator Edwind, the Shaman Munay, the driver, the cook and the family that owned the place where we stayed in the jungle. The other two participants were wonderful people as well and I felt very safe going into the experience as well as sharing afterwards.
The actual ceremonies were an intense experience, but being guided by the wonderful Munay and her Icaros made all the difference. I felt immensely protected.
I'm really glad that I've booked with Eric and I would love to attend again in the future in case I'll visiting Peru again.
All the best to the whole team and thanks again for this incredible experience!

My experience with this retreat was absolutely incredible. To start I did the 5 day inca trek to machu pichu with the incago expeditions and that really set the us up for the retreat.
For the reatreat was really well organsied, it just went with the flow. The whole crew, our guide Daniel, Maestra Munay and the chefs were wonderful. It felt like everyone was a big family.
We stayed in the jungle at a lodge which was chill, peaceful and had a river right there which was perfect for cooling off or a good meditation spot.
The activities were fun and not too much, you still got plenty of time to rest.
The food was delicious and catered to the diet as well as any extra dietary needs you might have.
The group was small which let everyone connect and the ceremonies were comfortable. The space felt very safe and open to be yourself. Daniel and Munay were so helpful and supportive with the ceremony and integration afterwards.
I would highly recommend if you're looking for an authentic ayahuasca retreat with real genuine people and a comfortable safe space.

My experience with Ikaro Ayahuasca Retreat was truly amazing. I went with my best college friend and we had such unique time. The ambiance of the space was authentic and had a sense of warmth. Erick was incredibly friendly, welcoming, thoughtful and had a very safe presence. As this was our first time at the retreat, Erick also made sure that all of our questions were answered thoroughly. The Maestra had such a powerful and positive presence as well. I wish I could bottle up this beautiful experience and share the positive feelings with those around me.

Did the one night ceremony in a lodge just outside Pisac. This was my first time taking Ayahuasca. Before booking with anyone I had some reservations as I felt this type of experience requires putting a large amount of trust in the people running the ceremony. Fortunately, the team at Ikaro were fantastic. I believe they wanted the best for me and the other participants. Felt safe as soon as I met them and loved the lodge that the ceremony was performed at; It was a beautiful location. Amazing music from the gentleman running the ceremony. Very small group. A unique and positive experience

It's really a 3 and half review....
Good:
- We stayed in an amazing country side house in a local community outside of Pisac!
- Our guide was amazing and Erick was good at communicating!
Not so good:
- We were told until the day before our retreat that we would be with Munay! I was really excited and looking forward to it. I had some personal feminine issues I felt like it would be safer for me to share with a woman shaman who is also legitimately trained in Amazon jungles... And I choose the retreat for those reasons too. But when we arrived we discovered that our shaman wasn't Munay? The shaman we had was very nice but was an Andean shaman who specialized in Wuchama. He didn't sing icaros either. I felt like the whole experience was okay.... I was glad I didn't have some really bad traumas to go through because icaros would really help a lot during ceremonies (guiding Ayahuasca through people's bodies). I did Ayahuasca before and icaros were everything to me in my past experiences. I felt like we were just working by ourselves, without too much support.
Again the shaman was really nice but if I knew we wouldn't get Munay I wouldn't have booked and I wish they were able to communicate this to us.
