Amusing talk about chocolate and a great hot chocolate to follow
We enjoyed our chocolate tasting and talk, with a very funny instructor. It was fun and informative. We heard about the different beans, tried different chocolates, then went downstairs for a hot chocolate. The cakes looked amazing but we'd not long eaten so didn't eat there. Highly recommend.

A good small local museum/shop that provides many interesting insights into chocolate.
This small local museum provides a quick stopover to learn and shop about chocolate. There are chocolate sculptures and information on the history in English/Spanish on the walls. The staff are helpful and allow you to navigate as you wish. There is an array of products and items to purchase. There are many chocolate items you will have never seen or purchased before. Chocolate Lovers Unite!
I love chocolate! So when we found we had an extra day of acclimating before trekking through Peru, I booked the Bean to Bar workshop for my wife and I. Our "Willy Wonka" instructor was fabulous. She was funny, informative, and interacted with our entire group. We completed almost the entire process of making chocolate from picking our our beans, roasting them, peeling, making them into paste, and even more along the way. We had competitions and laughed throughout the tour. In the end, we were provided with our choice of dark or milk chocolate to mold and take home with us. If you have a couple of extra hours in Cusco and you love chocolate, I highly recommend this tour.

An excellent experience and tour.

Our guide, Tania Paucar, was amazing. Her knowledge of the chocolate-making process was beautifully shared as she explained not only the bean-to-bar process, but also the manufacturing steps we were observing at the site.

The chocolate here is the best I have ever tasted. My favorite is the white chocolate with coca leaf.

Be sure to stop and experience the Choco Museum. You will be very happy that you did.

(PS...you can buy some chocolate for the trip home....just sayin')

Went with a small group (part of our Intrepid tour). Yummo. History lesson, bean tasting, chocolate tasting, make your own hot chocolate, rest while sipping, buy treats, regretfully leave!!! Great experience!

We visited here a few days ago and bought a few bars of chocolate for gifts. The shop was great and we enjoyed the chocolate, so we decided to return this morning for coffee and cake.
We arrived and no one was around so we asked the shop host and he said to take a seat in the cafe. We found ourselves menus and decided what we wanted and still no one approached us. We waited around 10/15 minutes whilst sat in the cafe. Multiple staff members doing the workshops saw us, but no one came over, so we left and went to another coffee shop (which was great!). Such a shame as we were looking forward to a hot chocolate and had specifically returned!

A great place to learn about the history of Peruvian Chocolate and to buy some Chocolates. The Museum is comparatively small but they have managed to utilise all the spaces and also conduct workshops. They have a wide range of chocolates, Chocolate powder, lip balm etc

We loved the ChocoMuseum experience with Jil! We learned a lot about chocolate and the process of making it, while making our own. Jil was very funny and helpful. We had a great time and would recommend this experience to anyone who loves chocolate.

We visited the museum without enrolling in an activity. You need a double mask to enter currently, they do sell them there. The museum is free to enter. It is more of a store than a museum. They offer tastings and a wide variety of very tasty products. We bought chocolate, liqueur, teas and a spread. Everything was delicious and the staff was very friendly and helpful.

We booked the bean to bar workshop months ago and paid in advance. When we showed up they had no record of our booking. We showed them our confirmation and they still made no effort to accommodate us. It was bought for us as a present so it was really disappointing.
