The Lares valley is one of the most picturesque villages in the southern part of Cusco. Machu Picchu 02 days Tour

Machu Picchu Imbued with a magical silence, 120km (74mi) from Cusco on the slopes above the Urubamba River, lays one of the world's most extraordinary archaeological sites. Machu Picchu (2400m / 7872ft) is probably the most familiar symbol of the Inca Empire. It is thought that the city was built by the Sapaq Inca Pachacuti, starting in about 1440, and was inhabited until the Spanish conquest of Peru in 1532. Archaeological evidence (together with recent work on early colonial documents) shows that Machu Picchu was not a conventional city, but a country retreat town for Inca nobility. ..The site has a large palace and temples dedicated to Inca deities Inca deities around a courtyard, with other buildings for support staff. It is estimated that a maximum of only about 750 people resided in Machu Picchu at any one time, and probably only a small fraction of that number lived in the town during the rainy season and when none of the nobility were visiting.

Difficult times for everybody in times of COVID-19 but I could not stop sharing our wonderful experience we had with Ruben and his team in Peru the last year. Myself, my fiance and six of our friends booked the 12 Day trip in Peru including the extra hike to Huayna Picchu in Nov 2019. From the moment we arrived to Lima airport , erveything was very well planned  about the whole trip. Our guides Edith , Carlos and Romulo did a great job from the beginning until the end of our stay in Puno, they spoke really good english and they were very knowledgeable . Our guide Romulo was outstanding  who shared with us his interesting Inca culture history, he was very polite and patient . We did the half day tour in Lima , Sacred valley , Moray, 2 Day Inca Trail to Machu Picchu and Huayna Picchu, tours in Cusco and  Uros and Taquile Island in the Titikaka lake in Puno, and the most of our tours and hikes were arranged in a private service just for us. The communication with Ruben from South Adventure Peru was great and everything went smoothly, we really liked every welcomed to each airport and bus station, they made us feel like part of their family or like we were old friends. We were able to spend a lot of time in the archaelogical sites , markets and alpacas farms, Ruben and his team helped us to purchase the flight tickets Lima to Cusco and back to Lima from  Juliaca,  Vistadome train tickets to Machu Picchu , entrances to every archaelogical site even to Machu Picchu & Huayna Picchu, hotel reservations, food, tours, transports which means we didn`t have to worry about anything at all. We can`t stop talking great things about this company, how much we enjoyed and interacting with Ruben`s team and local people. Some of us are planning to return  to Peru but once this pandemic pass and we we will definitely contact them again. Thank you for everything Ruben and Tatiana for this wonderful experience.

Me and my husband visited Peru last year and we were very lucky to hire all the services with South Adventure Peru Tours. We booked the 8-Days / 7 Nights program posted in their website including, Cusco, Sacred valley, Machu Picchu, Maras Moray & Salt mines, Southern valley tour and Puno. From the moment we arrived at the Cusco airport, we were welcomed by our guide Ernesto Cusi who was easy to communicate with us since his English was fluent and he had a lot of experience working as a guide, he was a lot of fun and was always looking out for us. Every place we visited was awesome, we had a completely private transportation with a very professional driver who was always on the lookout and very alert when driving. The first tour we did was the tour to the sacred valley where we could visit the Alpaca farm which is located on the way to Pisac, we observed llamas, alpacas and a group of ladies making weavings, then we also visited the market and archaeological center of Pisac we had a lot of time in each place and we never felt rushed We stopped in Urubamba to enjoy a delicious buffet and then we continued to Ollantaytambo where we spent our second night in a hotel that was located very close to the train station. The next day, our guide was very early to take us to the station where we had a wonderful trip to Aguas Calientes, this same day we did a soft walk to the Mandor waterfalls and we could observe a cloud forest, many orchids, birds and butterflies. Our guide Ernesto was very knowledgeable about the area so we felt quite safe at all times, at the time of dinner el gave us extensive information about our visit to Machu Picchu the next day. Finally, the day came and we were almost the first people to visit Machu Picchu, we explored almost for more than 4 hours where our guide gave us extraordinary information. We had free time to take photos and do some additional walks as well as the Sun Gate and Inca bridge. In the afternoon, we had to return to Cusco and they dropped us off at our hotel, we really had a wonderful time with a very responsible guide and thanks to the impeccable organization by Ruben and his wife Tatiana. we also did the City tour that included Sacsayhuaman, san blas area, san Pedro market, we also did the tour to Maras Moray and Salt mines, south valley with Tipon and Pikillacta however, what most definitely enchanted us was Machu Picchu. The last day in Cusco, Ruben & his wife were very early in our hotel to take us personally to the train station to Puno, it was a sensational trip because the service was first class with a spectacular view. Upon our arrival in Puno, Juan Carlos was waiting for us and was the person who took care of our stay and tours to Uros and Taquile even the tour to Sillustani and drop off to the airport for the flight back to Lima. Both of us were very impressed with the organization of this company since everything was organized according to our plan, the responses from Ruben were very quick and concrete. We would highly recommend this tour company to anyone.

A few years ago, me and my family ( with my third-age uncles but both with a good fitness ) we booked the 14 Day trip in Peru including the 4 Day Amazon trip with this fabulous company managed by Ruben and Tatiana and honestly, we had the most memorable experience of our lifetime. When we landed in Lima, we were welcomed by a nice gentleman who gave us a lot of information about the city, he recommended us a nice place to eat, for a walk and then he dropped off us to our hotel. Ruben helped us with the hotel arrangements, tours, flight tickets, food, admission tickets and train tickets to Machu Picchu. Everything was very well planned accordingly. We did the tour in Lima, Nazca, Paracas, Amazon, Cusco, Sacred valley, Moray, 2 Day Inca Trail to Machu Picchu, Puno & Arequipa. During the whole trip, we had an incredible guides , they were very passionate and polite, responsible drivers , comfortable and spacious transports, amazing places with stunning views, we have stopped at many alpaca farms, traditional markets and Incas sites. The highlight of our trip was Machu Picchu, we had great time we even climbed to Huayna Picchu mountain from where we enjoyed the best view and we took alot pictures. Our guide Romulo showed us every corner of each site and introduced us local people as if we were his family , he was very knowleageable and so kind. Ruben and Tatiana were always aware of us and make sure that everyone is well. In the trip to Puno and Arequipa we were in a group service which was ok because we were able to meet other people and both tours were excellent and so fun, we visited Uros and Taquile Island in Puno and we saw huge condors in Colca Canyon. We felt as Ruben`s family since they treated as lovely old friends. We would highly recommend this tour company to anyone who are planning a trip to Peru in the future !

Me and my family booked 2 tours with this company based on the wonderful comments we saw on trip advisor. The first day we did the complete tour to the Sacred Valley and the next day the tour to Maras, Moray, Salt mines and Chinchero, both tours were very interesting with impressive places and both of them has stuning views. We also had the opportunity to grow some products such as potatoes, corn, beans and we also made the famous PACHAMANCA which is an ancient Inca dish from the Andes of Peru, where the meat, chicken, potatoes cook with herbs in a Quechua underground earth "pacha" for the earth and "manca" for the furnace. In conclusion, our tours were not only focused on archaeological centers and markets, but also on something experiential where our guide contacted us with very humble people and who in some way are not benefited by the government and tourism, there are very few companies in Peru like South Adventure Peru Tours that do this type of tours and that share their few profits with them. We also learned that the company has a good relationship with these local people where everything was well organized, controlled time and transportation without limitations. In both tours we were also able to visit the archaeological centers of Pisac, Ollantaytambo, Moray, part of Sacsayhuaman and Koricancha of course, we also had time to explore the artisan markets and alpaca farm in Chinchero managed by local guy. So this is a reason to book any tour with this company because not only do they work for profit but they also share their earnings, well done Ruben and team!

In winter last year, seven of us were in Peru and made an incredible trip to the Sacred Valley, Maras Moray and Machu Picchu with South Adventure Peru Tours. Ruben and Tatiana (owners of the company) were so kind who helped us with making the reservation just a day prior of our arrival in Cusco. They immediately booked our hotel in Aguas Calientes, admission tickets, train tickets, guide and transportation so we did not have to worry about anything because we knew that we would be in good hands. When we landed in Cusco, they very voluntarily offered us free transport and it was very spacious for 7 of us and on the way to our hotel, Ruben gave us all the necessary information about Cusco and our 2-day tour. The next day very early our guide Romulo Lizarraga and our driver were at our hotel to start with the wonderful trip where we were also able to visit Sacsayhuaman since Ruben also offered us this place for being very important and for the short time we had in Cusco and we are really very grateful for these recommendations. Then we have enjoyed a zoo where we saw Andean animals , Jungle etc and we also stopped at farm and saw lamas & alpacas. Our guide was so kind and very knowledgeable about history and culture,we learned a lot about the history of the Incas, customs and tradition. He explained us extensively about the ruins of Pisac, we spent a lot of time in the traditional market, we had lunch in Urubamba, we explored Moray and salt mines and finally after a visit in the archaeological center of Ollantaytambo, we took the train to Aguas Calientes where we spent a night here. The next day was a sensational day and what we expected the most, we were so lucky to be almost the first visitors where our guide and with the extensive experience he has, he explained to us each important corner of the sanctuary of Machu Picchu we were also able to explore the Inca bridge, the Sun gate and in the afternoon, we return to Cusco untill Ollantaytambo from where someone was waiting for us to take us to Cusco and they dropped off us at our hotel. This was a wonderful trip for me and my family that we had been waiting for so long. Ruben, Tatiana and the team were very dedicated people to their work and they were always looking out for us. We will not hesitate to recommend this company and team to future travelers. You made GREAT job!
