this trip was absolutely beyond what i expected & most of it has to do with our wonderful guide: Jorge Sánchez. him and his team went BEYOND what we deserved. food, history, and patience. i enjoyed every moment of it, even the hard parts of the trek. he was kind and so knowledgeable, & funny! we enjoyed dinner with him every evening and laughed a whole lot. Wow wow wow! Such an incredible experience. The guide Jorge Sanchez was absolutely fantastic. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the history of the Inca trail. And we greatly enjoyed his company. Really Jorge made the trip for us! His kindness is something we will never forget. We could not have had a better guide. The porters were all such hard workers and so sweet. Our entire time on the Inca Trail was incredible. Our guide Jorge Sanchez was absolutely amazing. So caring and enjoyable to be with for 4 days. He made sure we had everything we needed. He also provided very interesting information about the various Inca sites. The food and service that the cook and porters provided was 10/10. Such strong and kind men. It was a privilege to enjoy this amazing experience with them. I would do this again, no doubt.…

Salkantay trek with classic Inca trail One of the best experiences I’ve done. It was tough, but the views were incredible. Our guide Luis Sanchez was excellent, he knew everything about the Inca history and flora and fauna along the trek. The cook Mauro made delicious food every single day, he would wake us with coca tea, make breakfast, snacks, lunch and dinner. Carlos, the horseman was very attentive to all our needs and found horses for us when the trek got tough. Excellent agency, worth every single penny!!!…

I did the Salkantay + short inca trail and this was an amazing hike, every day was a different biome almost. Would recommend! Only strengthen your knees before going because that was for me the limiting factor during the hike. I kept the best views out of the pictures so no spoilers, but you can see how much the environment changes through the days. Our guide Luís was great, his English was impeccable and he knew just about everything about Incan history, topographical history and of the flora and fauna that we encountered. Our group consisted of me and another solo traveler and the guide. Only for the last two days namely the short inca trail did two other people join the group. I really liked the small size, but bigger would also be fun I think so don't worry about that!…
