We had an awesome time with our group and Scott & Isabella in the Amazon Rainforest. Definitely our Highlight from the whole 2 month trip in South America. It's a very prestine Rainforest and you get to see lots of animals, visit native communities, swimm in rivers, hot springs and under waterfalls. Scott has a huge knowledge of plants and the history of that area, which was very interesting. And the breakfast from Isabella was just awesome.

I have done both a Mpacho River Valley tour and a San Pedro ceremony with EthnoCo. I am glad that I didn't go to anybody else. Very friendly and welcoming people. EthnoCo even helped me with personal errands/issues that they didn't even have to! They aren't just about taking your money. Knowledgable about all the sites to see, things to do, and so on. If you are searching for a company that does any of these things, look no further!

A group of fellow Tarantula enthusiasts and I took a trip with Scott into the jungle to observe the Avicularia, Lasiodora, Grammastola, and Pamphobeteus species that dwell within the Rainforest of Peru. He was quite generous to accommodate such a unique adventure as these particular animals are most active during the evening. We had a thrilling experience and were able to observe quite a few of the Genera we were hoping to see in their natural habitat. Highly recommend taking a trip with EthnoCo!

We went to Manu Jungle, rather deep into the jungle, in fact. We went to Machu Picchu. We booked a Salkantay trek. These guys are the best. If you have travel organizing needs this is your go-to place.

When I book a trip or expedition in Peru I want it to be safe, well-organized, and well executed.

This is virtually the only company I deal with.

Safe and great travels to you!

My wife and I had an amazing experience connecting with the landscape and ancientness of this place. Scott is a safe and knowledgeable guide. He led us on a wonderful mini heroes journey.

My friends and I had a fantastic time visiting the Manu Amazon Rainforest in Peru with EthnoCO! Scott and Isabel were wonderful hosts and knew so much about the local culture, environment, etc. We unfortunately had very cold weather during our trip, however it didn't stop us (and the rest of our tour group) from getting the proper, local Amazon experience. This was one of the best tours I've done and I know I've made lifelong friends from this experience! Would definitely recommend to anyone interested in visiting the Amazon rain forest in Peru!

I had the privelege of exploring the Manú jungle with Scott Lite, an Ethnobotanist. We visited a beautiful native community, saw local wildlife in a sanctuary, visited hidden petroglyphs and ate local foods from the area.
We had a really comfortable stay in a beautoful hostel by the river and took a private van and boat down river to hotsprings.

Mapacho River Valley, we met friendly local textile weavers and had the chance to spend time with them and their families, sharing meals with them and buying incredible textiles from the remote Andes.

My Huachuma/San Pedro ceremony was an amazing, comfortable and heart opening experience. Supported very well by the EthnoCO team who facilitated our ceremony in the hills.

Thanks so much everyone at EthnoCO!
See you next time for sure.

I had the chance to portake in several combination hikes and ceremonies in the Cusco area w/ Scott. Scott is extremely professional & knowledgable about the local Cusco area, including nearby lesser known Incan ruins & outdoor spots.. He has a very astute knowledge of the plant life and botanicals growing in the area, able to point out various medicinal & culinary herbs and plants in the local mountainside. He is bilingual, speaking Spanish, in addition to some Quechua, which was quite helpful in getting around.
I didn't have time this trip but I absolutely look forward in the future to portaking in a Amazonian adventure to Manu Reserve w/ Scott. Im not one into writing reviews very frequently but I was very impressed by Scotts knowledge, attention to detail, passion for Peru, and adventurous spirit. I thoroughly recommend him & his company for anyone venturing to the Cusco area and wanting a local tour or a more in-depth Amazonian or Andean expedition.

One of the highlights of my time in Peru. I did Ethnoco's 5-day tour of highland weaving communities and upper Manu jungle, two remote areas that are almost impossible for tourists to explore by themselves. The people of the weaving communities make alpaca wool textiles with natural dyes and are the most beautiful I've ever seen. I was amazed at the generosity of the people there and how they opened their hearts and homes to us travelers. We ate with them, learned about their lives and visited their small greenhouse project.

In the jungle, our guide Scott took us to areas that tourists rarely get to see, like ancient stone petroglyph carvings hidden in the jungle, and beautiful river swimming spot, and an indigenous market that sells their local handcrafts.

Ethnoco's guides spoke the indigenous languages of both regions (which aren't Spanish), so they were able to talk to the locals and explain to us the significance of everything we saw. And throughout it all, Scott pointed out the local plants and explained how the people there use them. This trip is perfect for anyone who wants to go deep into Peruvian culture outside of the major tourist hot spots.

I was living in Cusco, Peru last year for 6 months and was able to go on 2 of the EthnoCo tours. 5 days in the jungle, and a couple of days in the Mapacho River Valley to meet the Master Weavers. Both were incredible experiences!

What sets these guys apart is the abundant knowledge of the local plants, culture and indigenous people. There are MANY tour companies in Cusco but it's hard to find one that offers truly different and unique experiences. Scott and his team will share so much about the plants and local tribes. It's constant education if you are interested. But also tons of fun! Some of the accommodation and elements to the trips are basic, but you are visiting very remote parts of this world! Go with an open mind and heart and you will have an excellent time!!
