About
We have expanded our colonial house into a very modern INN & Spa. But left it's original landmarks, such as inka walls which are thousands of years old, combining historic and modern structure. Our INN is the place to be. Your Hosts at Samana INN & Spa are Juan Manuel Leon and Louise Hodgson. We are a Peruvian/English family here in Cusco, we will help you to get around town giving you the best tips and good recommendations to make you fell like you are home away from home. We are located at Tecsecocha 536, in down town only 2 blocks away from the main square of Cusco, 5 to 10 minutes walking distance to all the major landmarks of the city also really close to the best restaurants, shops, travel agencies, coffee shops, and more. From our team at Samana Spa and Salon we are looking forward to your visit. Sincerely Juan Manuel Leon and Louise Hodgson

Amazing hotel!
Oct 2019 • Friends
Stayed here for 3 nights following our Machu Picchu trek and would highly recommend. The staff are all lovely and so happy to help, the breakfast was great. The rooms were clean and so comfy and the massage package at the spa was well worth the money. The hotel is situation in a great location, would highly recommend!

Good with one caveat

I really struggled with what to rate this hotel. It is fairly expensive for Cusco but at first I really loved it. They have two rooms with a view and both were every bit as beautiful as posted. Large, light, airy and with gorgeous views. I saw fireworks from one one night! The first night the staff also brought us coca tea and hot water bottles for our feet which was very nice. They were friendly. The beds were the best I slept in in Peru with plush super soft bedding and the room was clean. We were never cold. My one complaint is the bathroom. The shower is designed so that it is half open. I feel that is a poor design as it allows quite a bit of water to end up all over the floor. This results in a wet and stinky bath mat and despite being clean the bathroom plumbing emitted terrible smells after showering. I know this is pretty common for Cusco but it was the worst at this hotel and the water drenching the floor didn’t help in the way of odors. Very stinky mildew odors after using the shower. It was a shame because the rest of the room was so romantic. I think I would still stay here again but maybe try the other room with a view and see if its bathroom is any better?

Relaxing stay in stylish hotel
Apr 2019 • Couples
I would whole heartedly recommend this hotel. All of the staff were welcoming, attentive and accommodating. It was my partner's birthday and they put balloons up for me that i had bought in the room ready for his arrival. The rooms are stunning and the whole place is stylishly decorated. We had a Jacuzzi and it was incredible, so relaxing and dressed so nicely with candles champagne and lights. Breakfast is good. Goes without saying that the place was spotless.

So sad we only got 1 night here, was probably my favourite hotel of our holiday.
The rooms look exactly as advertised. Big, airy, nice view. Close to everything. Staff are helpful, breakfast free and included, showers are good.
Would highly recommend

I was really looking forward to the hot sauna which was listed in the package online and was disappointed to find out upon arrival that it was replaced by Jacuzzi instead. The change took place one year ago and it was not updated online. Facilities was good , relaxing atmosphere , therapist was average , jacuzzi was too hot at times and I could not get it to cool down to my liking. It was all right.

After trekking in the mountains and visiting Machu Picchu I really needed a good massage and I got that at Samana Inn & Spa. The staff was really nice and friendly and so was the atmosphere at the clinic. I was so relaxed afterwards. Just what I needed - thank you!

Brilliant hotel in Cusco!
Jul 2017 • Solo
Having just completed the Inca Trail staying in a deluxe room at Samana was pure bliss. With only four rooms a stay is completely personal and the staff are super friendly and welcoming. The rooms are extremely high quality, the shower had fantastic pressure (much appreciated when hot water and pressure is not always guaranteed in Cusco) and the furniture was authentic and extremely comfortable. The view over the rooftops was very special and the double aspect allowed as much natural light in as possible. If I am in Cusco again I will definitely be returning to Samana!

The ideal boutique hotel stay in Cusco!
Apr 2017 • Couples
My stay with Samana Inn & Spa was nothing short of magical. Looking out of the floor-to-ceiling windows of our gorgeous bedroom, all we could see were the endless titled roofs of Cusco with mountains off in the distance. At night we opened the curtains to watch the twinkling lights of the town. In the morning, we were happily woken to the sounds of the nearby churchbells. It most certainly was the most romantic hotel I've ever stayed at.

Aside from loving the room itself, I loved the medieval details like the cobblestone walls and the giant lanterns in the staircases. Everything about this place felt charming. With only 4 rooms available, you almost feel like you have the place to yourself The complimentary breakfast is made to order by one of the super friendly staff members. Breakfast consists of freshly cut fruit, eggs and break with some of the best jam I've ever had. We had to be up and out early for a trek and they were more than willing to get breakfast going for us at an early hour.

The Inn is centrally located, but is located just enough off the beaten path that you're not in a loud area.

The only thing that could have possibly made our stay better would be if we were able to experience one of the raved about spa treatments. The owner, Juan Manuel is a trained and certified massage therapist. He was so accommodating and had an appointment made for us, but we had to cancel at the last minute as our train was late coming in from Aguas Calientes. So sad we missed out, but hopefully next time!

If you're looking to for a true Inn experience with personalized attention and unparalleled views of the city in a charming & romantic setting, I couldn't recommend Samana Inn & Spa higher.
