We did a day tour from Lima to Huacachina and it was everything we were hoping for! The bus ride from Lima takes around 3 hours each way, but I can assure you the seats are very comfortable on the bus which made the journey easy. After arriving in huacachina, we opted to eat a little bit before sand duning. Prior to going here, we did Machu Picchu and a few other hikes at elevation, so a desert oasis was a perfect way to round out the trip. After driving around the dunes, we hiked to a viewpoint for an incredible view of the city at sunset. I would highly recommend putting this on your itinerary.

Shout out to Noah for being the best tour guide EVER! Noah if you’re reading this, we miss you (and your laugh lol)! My girls and I did Machu Picchu and Rainbow Mountain with Visit South America and they went above and beyond with their accommodations, I can’t rave enough about this tour company. I thought this was going to be like any other tour I’d had in my past travels but nope — not only is Noah knowledgeable and informative, he’s caring and is a true gentleman. He was constantly checking up on us to make sure we were doing ok with the high altitude at Rainbow Mountain, and reminding us to take as many breaks as we need. It was the little constant reassurances that made me feel like he genuinely cared and made the incredible experience what it was. He even carried my friend’s heavy camera backpack (on top of his own) for her to the top, that’s how you know he’s a real one!! Noah also organized it so that we made it to the top of Rainbow Mountain before a bunch of other tour groups got there. He told us we’d be getting there 30mins before everybody else and sure enough, as soon as we got up there I could see a bunch of people at the bottom about to make their way up! I truly believe I experienced Peru the best way one possibly can and I couldn’t have done it without VSA and their hospitality. Thank you again so so much, I can’t wait to come back and explore other parts of South America with these guys!

I had the most amazing time on a private city tour of Rio de Janeiro, thanks to VisitSouthAmerica and our fantastic guide, Marco! This tour was one of the highlights of our trip, covering all the must-see spots as well as hidden gems in the city such as Cristo Redentor, Santa Marta, and Jardim Botanico.

Marco was simply wonderful, he was super friendly, knowledgeable, and full of positive energy. It felt like we were exploring the city with a good friend who knew all the best spots!

I highly recommend this tour for anyone looking to experience the best of Rio in a personalized way. A big thank you to the team of Visit South America!! Looking forward to another trip with you guys

Visit South America has a really bad customer services in Bolivia, we got really slow reply’s from their contact number on WhatsApp and even the day before of the tour they didn’t reply. The day of the tour at the start time we were worried they won’t even show up, because it was at 10:00 am and the local agency guy showed up at 10:30 am, if we would know before we would have just booked just from a local agency in Uyuni, from where at least you know they have an office and probably will reply to your question.

At the end they just hired a local agency which was good and they are not the ones to blame, plus they charge you an extra for the supposed customer service which is the worst I have experienced.

Better with a local agency in Uyuni.

This is the 2nd time we used VSA. The 1st time was to do Cusco and this time they planned our Argentina trip to Patagonia, Mendoza and Iguazú. We loved every minute of it, from the excursions, hotel selections and tour guides. We also loved how open the communication was with Hilton and how accessible he was to address concerns or questions. When there were some minor issues, there was always a quick resolution and overall made our experience smooth and enjoyable. I know we will continue to use VSA to future trips to South America and whatever other regions they expand to.
Thank you VSA team for making this trip memorable!

My sister and I planned a trip to the salar last week and it was absolutely incredible! It has always been a dream to visit during the rainy season to get the mirror reflection and it definitely did not disappoint. Not to mention all the other locations you visit over the 3 days that will make you feel that you are on another planet! The food was good, the accommodations very simple and humble but they did the job. I do recommend renting a sleeping bag if you get cold easily because it got a little cold at night and because the electricity turns off past a certain time so there are no heaters. Before booking I asked Sofia a million questions via email and also had great contact with their local team Jeff and Sergio. I appreciate you guys helping us and being so patient with all my questions! Recommend the tour 10/10.

When choosing an agent, I always worry whether I can trust them, can they deliver, will they be responsive, will the quality meet our standards. Hilton and his team at Visit South America deliver on all accounts. You can trust him. He responds quickly. And when things go wrong, as all third-world, personalized travel, is bound to do, he adapts and rights the ship. We chose Visit South America for a once in a lifetime trip to Bolivia and Hilton coordinated with the local guide, Sergio to deliver on a truly memorable and boutique experience. The guides, the planning were all top notch. While Bolivia can be challenge due to its altitude and lack of typical infrastructure, things exceeded expectations

I did the 3 day Uyuni Salt Flat tour and it was amazing! The itinerary is drawn up so we'll so you fit so much in to each day. Whereas the main focus of that trip is the salt flats, there were so many other locations we were taken to that took my breath away!

Our guide, Victor, was very knowledgeable and explained the stories behind all the places we went, and had some fantastic recommendations for photos to take on the flats themselves which worked out really well.

The food we were given was really good, all very healthy and filling, and the hostels we stayed at were quiet and comfortable.

I highly recommend this trip to anyone looking at visiting the salt flats, it was one of the best experiences I've had in South America!

I traveled with 7 friends to Rio for a trip that exceeded my expectations! I wanted a more authentic and cultural experience alongside some of the must-sees and Visit South America rolled out the red carpet. They offered really great suggestions, were quick to really understand my group’s interests and the communication was on point. We saw Christ the Redeemer, Sugarloaf alongside so many cute and off the beaten path areas! I know I am excited to explore more of South America and I will be happy to employ Visit South America once I am ready! Thank you for making this trip EPIC!

The locations are amazing but it is the people that make this experience so wonderful! Hilton did all the the hard work to get this trip setup and excited the itinerary perfectly. I do want to heap special praise for my guide, Aiben, who whiteout, I would not have such a wonderful time. His knowledge of the area, history, and local attractions really enriched the experience. That and he was just a pelaste to be around, always a smile on his face, and a great photographer as well!
