We had a great trek with Jose and Filio, despite it being challenging, they were both extremely accommodating, encouraging and upbeat - including working with different paces and abilities in the group. The pre-trek briefing was helpful and food during the trip was above expectation - on our first night we were even given extra bedding layers and hot water bottles for sleeping to keep us warm. We had such a lovely time, with many laughs and would recommend doing this trip with Trexperience for an unforgettable time!

Service is impeccable.Breakfast, Lunch and diner were 5 course meals. Every day waking up with a tea and a bowl of hot water to clean yourself. This is a luxury way to for hiking for 4 days. Only bad thing is the focus and confusion regarding tipping. The added documentation, the safety talk and the guide during the trip all say different amounts. The last evening there is even a tipping ceremony where you need to make several piles for certain people. This is a weird part of the trip.

This 1 1/2 day tour was guided by Efrain who is a 5 stars great guide, but there were issues with the sites we visited & our lodging location on the 2nd day. This tour can be booked as a stand-alone tour, though we had booked this tour as a prelude to our Inca Trail trek. On day 1 afternoon Efrain provided a comprehensive walk to Inca sites in Cusco, then we drove to Inca sites outside the city. Efrain was very knowledgeable about the history & culture of Inca society. The issues occurred during day 2. We didn't get to tour the Pisac archeological site, instead spent our time at a touristic animal farm. Additionally, there was also a lot of backtrack driving in the valley. By combining the Cusco City & Sacred Valley Tour with the Inca Trail trek Trexperience had confirmed in writing that we would be staying in Ollantaytambo, closest town to the Inca Trail trailhead. Instead, after completing the Cusco city tour we were told by Trexperience that our lodging was going to be in Urubamba. The hotel they put us at was isolated in an industrial zone on the far east of town with only hotel dining & no stores to pick up final items for our trek. We did walk 2 km to town center, but there was nothing to see or purchase, except a woman selling boiled potatoes. Had Trexperience booked our hotel in Ollantaytambo as promised we'd have been in a town with many restaurants & outdoor equipment stores. Also having a hotel in Urubamba meant getting up an hour earlier to reach the trailhead.

The most amazing trek I have been on with the absolute highest quality support, food, and care. We had a group of 6 and Miguel was our guide. Miguel was fantastic and shared a lot about the history of the trails, region, mountains, and Incans. He treated us like family and provided notable extra care to members of the group walking slower due to the altitude! Miguel focused on safety and care during trekking, and was laid-back and fun at night! The chefs were incredible and provided extravagant meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Our group could not finish all the food, so do not worry about going hungry or fueling up for the trek! Water and hot tear was also provided during each stop. Our nightly tent accommodations were comfortable, clean, and ready upon arrival at each camp. They handled all the breakdown, cleaning, etc. Lastly, I foolishly dropped my passport on the train back from Machu Picchu (first time for everything), and TreXperience, specifically Miguel and Elisban, jumped to help that evening when I realized it. They helped me until midnight and the following morning at 5am track it down and direct me to a local train station to pick it up. Total miracle and they saved my trip at no additional cost. They treated me like family even AFTER I finished the trek! Overall, 10/10 and will be referring my friends to TreXperience.
