Enjoy the beautiful Andean landscape of Peru on board of a luxury and magical way to travel between Cusco and the Lake Titicaca. Travelling in the Andean Explorer is a unique experience, a route between mountains, clouds, snow-capped mountains and puna finishing in the majestic Lake Titicaca. Its coaches involve you in an environment extremely decorated with the elegant style of Pullman trains of the decade of 1920. Its tourist shows, the 5-fork lunch, dining cars, observatory-bar car outdoors, among other attractions.

Wow. The scenery on this trip between Puno and Cusco was incredible. The meals on board were very good and there was fabulous entertainment in the form of Peruvian musicians. It didn't seem like a ten hour journey!

I don't know how we found out about this train but I'm so glad we did. It is a wonderful way to cross from Puno to Cusco (or vice versa but I gather the Cusco to Puno route is much more expensive). Service was great, ambience and comfort were great and food was great. They do have musicians and a... More

I only heard about this through our travel agent recommendation - she told us it was a bit pricey but worth it and she was right! It added such a unique element to our trip. The carriages were comfortable and spacious. Staff were extremely friendly and efficient. The entertainment on board, stops and food service made 10 hours pass very... More

The staff was really nice, the lunch was really good. The company knows its customers: rich white europeans. The Track is beautiful and this sort of travelling is really chilled down. But the company also thinks that a brakefast in south america can cost 50 soles, which is honestly said an impudence. all the prices of things that are not... More

If this isn't on your 'bucket list' it should be. Everyone visiting Peru should make this train journey part of their itinerary (unbeatable value for money). The service and food were exemplary and the onboard entertainment by the Peruvian dancers and musicians whilst travelling through the breathtaking Andean countryside is something we will never forget.

10 hour ride in a vintage diesel. Well appointed. Lots of wood and brass. Elegant old style train. Excellent service. Good food, nice seating. There is a general car for seating with Queen Ann chairs and a formal table setting. Comfortable bar car. Very spacious and open observation car at the end. Absolutely worth doing. The train , the views... More

I really enjoyed this train ride. I thought that a 10-hour train ride would be unpleasant, but this ride was very nice. The seats were very comfortable and spacious, the food was excelent, there were interesting views from the train, the entertainment was enjoyable, and the service was fantastic. The specific employees who provided service for my traincar were Boris,... More

From pre-boarding to disembarking....A+++ service from the staff, especially our coach attendant Freddy. We traveled from Puno to Cusco and the 10+ hours went by so quickly with gorgeous views from the sightseeing coach. Highly recommend doing this train ride....Best Ever!!!!

Like others, I wondered if this would be really worth it - and 10 hours! But after traveling all modes in Peru, have to say this was spectacular. What a relaxing journey - but also incredibly stunning. Would never have seen the diversity from the Andes to the altiplano - and then all the culture they weave in as well.... More
