Enjoy the beautiful Andean landscape of Peru on board of a luxury and magical way to travel between Cusco and the Lake Titicaca. Travelling in the Andean Explorer is a unique experience, a route between mountains, clouds, snow-capped mountains and puna finishing in the majestic Lake Titicaca. Its coaches involve you in an environment extremely decorated with the elegant style of Pullman trains of the decade of 1920. Its tourist shows, the 5-fork lunch, dining cars, observatory-bar car outdoors, among other attractions.

What a ride! We did the trip from Puno to Cusco which took 10h. At first we were worried to be bored with such a long journey, but it is totally awesome! We were in Peru for almost 2 weeks with such a busy schedule and this day was fully relaxed. No places to go, you just wonder the train,... More

Having travelled to a lot of places around the world, in different modes of transport, THIS IS ONE FOR THE BOOKS!! The whole experience exceeded my expectations that if I ever wish a day to last longer, this was it. We were served with Peruvian gourmet, entertained by a bartending session in the morning and a mini fashion show in... More

The Andean Explorer made our trip from Cusco to Lake Titicaca such a breeze. The service on the train was non-stop-- we were very well taken care of with food and drink. It definitely took more time than a plan trip but well worth it. It was nice to slow down for a day and watch the country via rail.

Travelling on the Andean express is a great experience. Already at the check in at PUNO station we experienced a warm welcome by Mr. Arnoldo Ponce de Leon De La Cruz, the on board service supervisor. Our train waiter picked us up in the waiting lounge to bring us to our seats and gave us, in a very professional and... More

This was one of the most amazing experiences we had! Boris and Carlos made sure that we were taken care of throughout the entire ride. This is not cheap, but I am so glad that we splurged! We went from staying in cheap hostels, bus rides, and budget restaurants to this gem! The food was excellent and the sights were... More

This journey was a part of our overall package and it did not disappoint. We thought that the time was going to drag but far from it. It all started with being served coffee in the waiting room in Cusco. Once on the train there was breakfast, followed by lunch and ending with afternoon tea. This was interspersed with music... This trip was part of a tour. Perhaps we weren't expecting much but I was amazed when we arrived to find that we were going to be travelling in luxury! The staff were outstanding right from the start. When we checked in we were informed that we would be sharing a table and travelling backwards. The lovely guy asked if... More

The trip is expensive but also very nice! It is much more comfortable then the bus, having nice seats, great service and excellent food. And of course a good view. Only after disembarkment we were appointed a taxi that ripped us off; would be nice if the train staff managed the taxis a bit more.

A lot of the guide books seem to dismiss this trip as being slow and bumpy and say that travel by road is preferable as it is quicker and the route very similar, well they are wrong!!! The train is now run by Belmond and has that luxury feel from the moment you arrive in the station and are shown... More
