After checking for the best spots to watch over the city, I think this is the best place to make great pictures and play with the location itself. But make sure to come early or late, when all the touristic groups have left the place.

Loved the white scenario around Yanahuara. Nice and quiet place to enjoy with the family as to buy some hand crafts. Prices are very affordable and better vs. stores at downtown.

It can be a bit off the beaten track from the city centre, but there is beautiful panorama of Misti mountain, covered with snow.

The mirador has a beutiful view of the city of Arequipa and the mountains/volcanoes that surround it! It's a very peaceful place, you must go if you're in town.

Yanahuara is best coupled with a visit to mirador Carmen overlooking terraces and mountains on one side and the city scape on the other. Yanahuara is a nice park and church with lots of local people and activities and great views.

We're enjoyed spending a few hours here. We visited the arches, perused the local art, walked the winding streets, and ate at a picanteria.

This gazebo in the suburbs of Arequipa which forms one side of a tiny square is nice but not breathtaking or special while the place with the small catholic church (with same name) is more charming at the end. A lot of dealer are offering...More

The ancient suburb of Arequipa is well-maintained, with its own leafy Plaza de Armas, a beautiful church, and charming side streets with excellent little restaurants/cafes. Well worth the time spent getting there.

this is where you realize that you are in the ring of fire, some of the volcanoes are dormant some are active, breathtaking view, cheap souvenirs

It's worth the short walk from central Arequipa. I walked there, just a bridge to be crossed. I don't think there's any security issue going there. Nice colonial streets and good picanterias, so good to combine with a nice lunch.
