As the only Cathedral in Peru, it is worth visiting. The guide gives a good overview of the history of this Basilica. Very good views from the top over looking the Plaza de Armes.

The cathedral is relatively new, the old site having been destroyed by fire. Nonetheless, it's well worth taking a tour and the excursion onto the rooftops and into the bell towers is worth the PS20 alone. However, you have to take a guided tour -...More

The Cathedral is simply stunning, particularly at night when its towers are brightly lit. Situated right on the main plaza, you can't mist the Cathedral. Note; no bare legs or shorts, tank tops, etc allowed inside and they are very strict with the dress code.

One or two items caught my interest regarding the fire in the 1800's. Would be nice ifstaff were and not would-be bictators.

The cathedral is softly decorated however the museum parts contain lots of interesting religious relics and the visit ends by having a nice view on the mountains and the plaza de armas from the roof of the cathedral. Jules, Belgium

Walked around here. Didn't have the time to go inside. The place, the surroundings were great. Very friendly, safe, clean touristy place. Enjoyed it.

We went to the church a late afternoon at around five where the cathedral was open to the public. Music was playing within and it was a very enjoyable atmosphere to see the cathedral in.
