We had a wonderful time with Marizol for 2 days hiking the Colca Canyon. She explained to us the different types of plants and animals and made our trip as great as it could be. Big thanks.

My friend and I booked a 2-day tour to the Colca Canyon with Pablo Tour. From our very first contact with the company everything went smoothly and the tour was "as promised." We felt that we more than got our money's worth! Our guide, Honorio, met us at our hotel the night before our tour and gave us additional information and answered our questions. Although we knew we might be part of a larger group, we were lucky to be a tour group of two! Honorio and our driver, Reynaldo, arrived to pick us up the next morning right on time! Honorio was a wonderful guide, and Reynaldo a skillful (and safe!) driver. We learned so much about the history, geography, and culture of the area as well as the flora and fauna. Of course we thrilled at seeing condors in flight right over our heads as they swooped through and over the canyon. But sightings of other birds and animals were equally exciting. Three of the highlights of our tour--two planned and the other serendipitous. Our lunch the first day was "home-hosted" by a charming local woman who prepared a memorable lunch--possibly the best meal we had in our two-week visit to Peru. Second, on the way to Cabanaconde where we were to spend the night our guide and driver heard festival music so we went to investigate. In spite of some heavy rain the whole village dressed in their finest festival clothes were singing, dancing, and having a wonderful time. Of course we got out and watched and got thoroughly drenched as well! Third, on the morning of our second day we hiked to the Mirador of Achachihua, a short distance from Cabanaconde, where you can get an excellent view of the canyon, small villages, pre-Inca terraces, mountains, the river, and Huaruro waterfall. We had the trail and viewpoints all to ourselves. I'd highly recommend a trip to Arequipa and the Colca Canyon and urge you to book a tour with Pablo Tour!

Excellent tour in private car with guide and driver. Pay a little more and get this customized tour which takes you to the major sights but also off the beaten path hikes and a meal in a private home. Tour guide Yarley speaks excellent English and has great knowledge and appreciation for the area.

I thought this trip was really great value for money. We walked the Colca Canyon in the opposite direction, there was only 3 of us on the tour and we didn't see anyone else on the trail apart from people who passed us doing it the normal route. It was great to have all things included, other tours kept having to pay for entry to the park or thermal pools. The food was good and the guide, Guersey, was really upbeat and friendly and enthusiastic. Our accommodation was very comfy and we slept so well. The second day was very relaxed post hiking and we felt well looked after. I would definitely recommend this company.

I've just come back from the Colca Canyon with Pablo Tour. My group had picked this company to handle the Colca Canyon portion of the tour. Throughout our negotiations, things changed from our point of view (dates, numbers etc) and Edwin the owner was able to accommodate all for us. The tour itself (2 days 1 night) was perfect for a number of reasons. The stay in Cabanaconda meant we saw the Cruz del condor the night before with NO other people--just us and the condors and it meant we were first out the next morning. My group are still talking about it and what a magical experience it was. Lunch at the farm of Josefina in the village at the end of our hike up behind her village was another highlight. I had the pleasure of Edison as a guide. My group loved him--he was thoughtful and attentive to all--including a couple who were having difficulty with the altitude. He's also extremely knowledgeable and a good storyteller. 3 weeks later the group still talks about him and that portion of the trip. There are less expensive options. I've been to the canyon a few times. I decided it was definitely worth the expense to include this one in my plans due to the uniqueness of the itinerary . It was a great choice.
