3 day 2 night trek / Colca Canyon

13 reviews
Come and enjoy an impressive 3 day trek through one of the deepest canyons in the world. Disconnect from the city and fully enjoy the nature that surrounds this valley. Our guide will show you all the beauties such as the huge birds, beautiful alpacas and vicuñas and more than 79 different types of cactus. Our tour starts very early to be able to arrive on time at the Condor's Cross and watch the condors flying over our heads and follow our route to Cabanaconde from where our adventure begins. Do not miss it and book now. It will be an unforgettable experience!

Another good museum type tour. This is one of the better things to do in Arequipa and is easy to access from city center. We enjoyed the Museo. There were a couple nice little cafes near by so you could stop for a little lunch or dinner depending on you timing of the visit.

This is incredible and such a recent addition to the local history. 15 years since the remains were found almost intact despite being 500 years old. Really well put together with 20 minute video followed by excellent tour guide taking us around. Absolutely excellent

The musem is very nice and informative. The tour begins with a great video that tells you about the discoveries. It is fascinating to see all the found treasures and the mummy in the end, although in these months Juanita was not on display.

Did not cost much. When are you going to see another Ice Maiden up close and well preserved. It did not take much time to go threw the museum. I think if you don't see the exhibit you are missing out on a real human history story.

This museum only takes an hour or so to visit and is well worth the small entry fee. The visit starts with a video about the ice maiden and incan child sacrifice generally, is followed by a guided tour of the various exhibits (the relics found with the ice maiden and other children who were sacrificed on the nearby mountains) and culminates with a viewing of the ice maiden. Probably not ideal for younger children but otherwise very interesting and entertaining, although the subject matter is a bit dark.
