What lovely scenery, the condors are absolutely amazing, well worth the early hour you need to get up to travel to see them.

We were blessed with great weather, and lots of Condors flying around. This is a very busy place, with bus loads of tourists. Some good markets with unique offerings on the way down from Condor viewing. Take time to walk along the cliff edge, about 20 minutes; great photo opportunities

We only had time to visit the condor look-out as we passed through on our way from Puno to Arequipa but it was well worth it. Lots of tourists to be sure and locals selling handicrafts and sodas of course but we knew that would be the case beforehand. Despite the mob the condors sure didn't disappoint...we saw at least... Trekking in Canon de Colca takes a bit of planning, but it's definitely worth it. The place is beautiful! We took the bus from Arequipa to Cabanaconde from where we started the trek. The bus ride took more than 7 hours and at some points it felt quite uncomfortable. The driver didn't see any reason to drive slowly on the... More

Watching Condors fly using the updrafts is amazing. They are great birds that like to show off their flying abilities. You need to have a little bit of luck to get several of them around, and we had a great day, seeing several dozens of them flying below us and a few above us. The canyon is a breathtaking view... We did it in 3 days, don t do the same mistake. 2 days it s enough... AND BRING FOOD IF YOU PASS WITH AGENCY. All the agency dont feed you enough. Like that you need to buy there food horribly expensif. And 1 thing that you should know ; if you see condor it s because animals fall "accidently"... More

We had a tour of Colca Canyon / Condor Cross as part of a 2 day tour taking us from Arequipa to Puno. Colca Canyon and Condor Cross was definitely a highlight for us! The views across the canyon are stunning and if you are lucky (as we were), you will be treated to a show from the local Condors.... More

An amazing place, the road there is an experience in itself and the canyon and the roads leading to it with amazing views. Was not that impressed with Chivvy itself, hotel was near the river canyon and quite cold! Well worth visiting to see the condors, who performed on time and in great numbers!
