This was a good experience, with an excellent chef. The dishes were well explained and demonstrated and we all managed to pull off pretty good versions. I was a little disappointed as the only 'solo' customer, as the two couples there got to cook their main dish together and mine was just very rushed afterwards with the chef doing most... More

I have attended several cooking classes, so maybe my review is more negative than it would be if this was my first time. Overall, the food was quite tasty and enjoyable, however, I didn't feel that the class offered anything over following a recipe in a cookbook. No background was provided on the dishes, or the ingredients, even those that... More

We appreciate your critique. Thanks. We will go thru every detail you describe in order to correct observations. Sometimes we forget basic things. It's time to re evaluate. Yes, we don't use cheffs, our staff learned to cook from their mothers. And we appreciate their originality. But they have to communicate those cultural issues. We do not promote a cooking... More

After trying some great Peruvian food during my trip, I thought I'd check this out and learn how to cook the dishes for myself. Monica, our teacher, was brilliant and it was a great chance to meet other travellers as well. The dishes were fairly simple to prepare, but full of flavour - definitely something I'll be trying for myself... More

After reading about the class in a Lonely Planet guidebook, I went along with my boyfriend and had a great time! There was seven of us overall, which wax a good class size. We'd booked online the night before, but the booking hadn't gone through. It was no issue to still take part. The class cost 70soles each. We made... More

Had an amazing day here. Made a lot of delicious courses all together. Tried the pisco sour too (plus learned some new dance moves). Teacher was very nice. Will definitely make some of these dishes at home

We loved this activity, beginning with the market tour which we absolutely recommend. Cooking in the open patio was delightful and the food was great.

Yes, market is an extra tour that deserves to book. And cooking is a cultural souvenir we love to give our guests expecting they will repeat it back home with their beloveds. Thank you for your visit . We always enjoy sharing with friends More

Had a very friendly chef named Lady who ran our session. Cooked delicious traditional Peruvian dishes - starter, main and dessert!

You got the right description. Authentic. This activity was started by me as owner of Casa de Avila Hostel. Guests watched me preparing lunch and asked to participate. And the Peruvian Cooking Experiece started. Now Lady and Anjulie help with the group and they are great directing the group. Its not a cooking class, its a souvenir we want you... More
