It´s located on Mercaderes, a street closed to traffic that ends at the Plaza de Armas.
This street has a starbucks, burger king, kfc, and pizza hut! I was so surprised to see it!
We went to Ekeko just for the public bathroom, which was always hard to find in Peru.

This little "mall" of four floors was created especially for tourists, just one block from the Plaza de Armas. Since our hotel (Sonesta Posadas del Inca -see my review!) was just around the corner, this was an easy stroll to pick up some souvenirs. What they sell here is good quality and prices are accordingly. There are some restaurants too, but why eat in a mall when you have excellent restaurants with Peruvian cuisine within one or two blocks?

The "Ekeko" is a historic indigenous figure that acts like a good luck charm. You have to keep the Ekeko happy (give him a cigaret to smoke) and he will in return bring you good fortune. So, even if you don't want to buy souvenirs, pay him a visit: you never know...!

Here you can find any sort of souvenirs from small to big ones. There are several shops with chocolates (La Iberica), knits (from alpaca and vicuña wool), t-shirts (from Peruvian cotton), bags, spirits (all sorts of pisco), and more. Prices are friendly and products have excellent quality.

This is one of my favorite places to go when feeling like one drink and good food. It is not a cheap place, but either overpriced. I find it very fair. Service is always excellent. Super clean and nice all the time. The whole environment is positive for any kind of meeting or solo menu in your break time. From meat to seafood, loved all of it. My favorite, all trout dishes. Bread is also good.
I dislike the idea of huge long cocktails as a good offer, because these drinks are not made to make them last long. Rethink that, Patio del Ekeko.
It is also a shame that it won't be open until late night. Go as early as you can.
