This was such a highlight of my trip. I’ve been to Peru multiple times, and this was such a standout experience. It was so much fun and it was exhilarating. I’ve never gone whitewater rafting before and I was able to get the hang of it with José as our instructor. He was super clear and helpful, and they also offer photos while you are rafting (taken by someone up above the riverbanks), which is a plus. I cannot emphasize enough how much I recommend this experience, especially with José. Also, in case you only speak English, he can guide you in English as well.

We did the full day trip and had just an incredible day! Travelled in style with a luxurious van out to the Majes river. Rafting was amazing through a beautiful canyon with some great rapids, warm water, and an excellent guides by the names of Joze, Emilio, and Claire. Finished up rafting and went to try some river shrimp which turned out to be one of the highlights of the day. Headed out to the petroglyphs after and we're just amazed.
Once it was time to head back we piled into the van and drove back to Ariquipa in time for dinner. Couldn't have asked for a better trip! Much appreciated team any rafters out there looking for a great time, go for a full day trip with Kanuwa rafting.

We thoroughly enjoyed the full day rafting trip on RIO MAJES. Great guides from Peru, Chile & Columbia. Pleasure to meet all of you! The trip was fun, organized and scenic. We took the shorter trip on RIO CHILE as well, and that was awesome. A lot of rapids packed into one hour on the river! Danielle, Alaska USA

Our family absolutely loved rafting Rio Chili with Kanuwa Rafting. Jose and his colleagues were super attentive for our youngest (7 years old) and made sure he could joint the activity safely in a separate boat from our eldest children. Being under a waterfall, swimming: the tour was amazing and we regretted when it was over: so much fun! Another good thing is that it's so close to Arequipa. We highly recommend it.

These aren’t the most intense rapids you’ll encounter, but still I had a blast. It’s worth noting that you’ll pay like $20 less if you book in person instead of online.
My group was all Peruvians and one guy from Quebec visiting friends in Peru. So, instruction was in Spanish. Fine by me, I needed to practice. Thankfully, our guide made sure I understood everything in the safety briefing (very important) with Spanglish and fantastic body language. My group was fantastic and I had no trouble with the Spanish commands.
I’ve rafted some intense rapids in the US and Canada, and these were much simpler by comparison. Still, this was a wonderful way to spend about 90 minutes on the water. The backdrop of volcanoes was a particular treat. Overall, it was fun, it was a safe, and it was appropriately priced.
If you’re looking for a little adrenaline in Arequipa, I’d highly recommend!

My husband and I have returned from a fabulous day on Rio Chili with the team from Kanuwa. We have been rafting a number of times before and this is one of the greatest rafting experiences we've enjoyed. The entire team - from the office on Melgar in Arequipa to the business manager to the owner and the guides - is professional, fun, and enthusiastic. We were properly geared and expertly guided down the river. This is a fabulous way to spend a few exciting hours just outside of the city. There is an easy online registration form or stop in the office in town to choose your day and time. This was the perfect way to end our six weeks in Arequipa. Thank you, Kanuwa!

It was really nice! Really safe and the guys were so nice. The nature was beautiful and we had perfect clothes. So it was warm enough... It makes really fun!
