We had a great view of Pichu Pichu from Mirador Carmen Alto location. Pichu Pichu is a old volcano with a height of 5,664 m / 18,586 ft. Quite spectacular to see.

Pichu Pichu is one of three volcanoes overseeing Arequipa. When the clouds clear, it is a majestic site. We had the opportunity to see multiple side of his famous volcano when traveling from Colca Canyon to Arequipa, where our road exceeded 15,000 feet (5,000 or so meters), allowing great views of Peru's many volcanoes including Pichu Pichu

The view of the volcano from the city is nice and splendid. The volcano does not seem active but the peaks look very nice and feel very close to the city.

For me the big thing was the location as I saw many impressive pyramids and buildings in Mexico.
The organasition / information is lousy.
I was asked to be at the entrance at 6:30 in the morning when everything is in the fog and you see nothing but grey. The guide gave his 1 hour speech and then walked down giving us the option to stay (without him) and wait until it clears at about 9 and visit the inka bridge and the puerta del sol or do go down and get some more information. You are not allowed to go back up once you decide to start descending.

A lovely back drop to this very pretty city. Mountains and volcanoes off in the distance forming a noble frame.

I see Pichu Pichu on my regular walks in parque Los Angeles. It always looks magnificent and gives off a refreshing vibe...

One of three mountains visible from Arequipa. It is the lowest but widest. The views are splendid.

Pichu Pichu is a collection of volcanic peaks but they are best seen from below! Look out to the horizon and marvel at the sight! There are some tours to the top if you so require, but what exactly would you see from the top, compared to the view you can savour from the base?
