Kind of unorganized for a solo traveler with dates that don’t align along their schedule? Maybe they cater better to couples or groups? Pick up was strange (I was told I would have a sign with my name on it…this guy was wandering the arrival area whispering my name for a good 10 mins…then claimed no paper was used on the islands…your argument doesn’t hold much weight when everyone else was holding dry-erase boards…), the process of getting to the main nexus of Puerto Ayora/Santa Cruz is as follows: plane-bus-boat-car (about an hour ten minutes), rarely was anyone friendly or ever a bona-fide “you’re with me or us and it’s nice to meet you!” guide; they were all from various agencies per wherever you landed as you’re scattered to the winds of third parties, and for the activities it was literally every single day snorkeling with not a lot of variety - a HIKE to a volcano would’ve been appreciated, something! Even give us a list to cater to our preferences. To boot an older man was put on some of these treks and he was borderline handicapped….send out a survey, a questionnaire, something because he not only inconvenienced people in the tour but it was hard to watch him struggle. Breakfast and lunch were also extremely bland and, say, one meal being bland, ok fine, but to return to the SAME restaurant, TWICE, when there are tons of interesting fusion takes around..? You’re not getting what they’re charging to be honest and you can show up to Puerto Ayura/Santa Cruz for a week or two and do everything (Isabela, Santa Fe, etc etc) for about $1,000 or under consulting with the pop-up shops along the main drag of Darwin Street.

I decided last-minute to escape to the Galapagos for the Easter holidays, and Rebecca adventures and especially Andrea gave me fantastic help. Literally just a few hours before my flight took off from Europe they have organised all the details of my 7-days holidays, and booked all my accommodation, local transfers and exciting tours. All was fantastic! They provided a high quality and reliable service, with local and reliable providers, everything went absolutely smoothly and I did not only got the chance to participate in amazing programs but I also met truly kind people on the road. It was undoubtedly the best holidays of my life, and I hope to explore some of their other adventures in the future.

We cannot sing enough praises of the wonderful time we had on our tour with Angel. To begin with, Angel was a punctual and competent driver through Quito as well as rougher terrain outside of the city, and went well beyond the normal services expected when one of the family unfortunately fell ill. Back to the bright side, we were well informed about the history and culture on the drive to Cotopaxi, had a nice little photo op with a view of Quito in the background and the option to get snacks :) At Cotopaxi, we were fitted with extra leather pants over our jeans, helmets, and authentic wool ponchos. The horses were sweet and well behaved for our group of on the whole intermediate level horse riders. While the weather did not show us the tip of Cotopaxi, the surrounding area was extremely beautiful and despite the light rain, we were all nice and warm under our ponchos (we all want ponchos now). The other horse guide knew a bit of English and with our bit of Spanish we were always able to understand everything important, with Angel translating for us as a backup. I had my phone in a waterproof bag/lanyard situation which I would recommend for quick picture taking without the worry of it falling down or getting damaged. Afterwards we had a delicious meal at Tambopaxi (I think that is the name???) at the base of Cotopaxi, and enjoyed learning more with Angel. While the meal in general was delicious (choice of fish of the day, beef, or vegetarian), the real highlight was the Empanada. I think it was one of our favorite things. We loved Angel, the sweet horses, and those Empanadas. Best Empanadas ever (and we tried a lot during our stay in Ecuador).

A 2019 booking for Easter 2020, we cancelled they rebooked for 2021, we cancelled they rebooked for 2022, no flights to Lago Agrio they found us the best tour guide to pick us up in UIO airport and drive us to the reserve, 8 hours on paved roads in a Hyundai Tucson that was super comfortable. The tour itself was safe, clean and the food was delicious. If you are hesitating between the 4 and 5 day tours the difference is the best day of the tour being added, you will be dropped by motorboat to near a fishing spot, then you will fish for man eating Piraña fish, then you will cook them and paddle back to the main river. The teamwork and enjoyment of cooking what could eat you cannot be underestimated. Other highlights of this tour were the evening sunsets over the magnificence Lago Grande, spotting wildlife from pink river dolphins to caymans to toucans to monkeys. I've travelled most Andean countries and know the risks of booking the wrong amazon tour, I know thew temptation to book through an agency where the pricing looks almost too good to be true. In this case Rebecca Travel are a really great operator where you get what they promise at prices that do not involve price gouging like many overseas agencies. If you book through them they can also offer a myriad of other services such as transfers, private tours of Quito and the rest of Ecuador. If you want value at a safe, high quality level then look no further.

Went on this cruise with my adult daughter, mom and friend-girls trip and it was amazing. We saw all the amazing wild life the Galapagos is famous for. We liked the small size of the boat. With just 16 passengers, you really get to know everyone. Food is good, crew is great-extremely kind and helpful. Our cruise had passengers as young as 24 and as old as 75. The older passengers had a hard time keeping up on a couple of the hikes and I think a better description of the days activities, including levels of difficulty, would have been a big help. Our guide did not handle the varying age range well at all and basically took off at a fast clip without looking back, seemingly more interested in the young ladies on the trip than the overall safety and wellness of the group. We had similar issues with snorkeling. Safety seemed to be a low priority. On one deep water snorkel, I was left completely alone after inadvertently taking a wrong turn and had to swim frantically to catch up to the group after realizing I was alone in the water. No one noticed I was missing except my daughter, who was also frantic. Most of our group did not snorkel after the first opportunity due to these issues. What a shame! Given the cost of the trip, everyone should have been able to enjoy all parts of the experience.
