Not sure what I was expecting, but if you're not looking explicitly to buy a hat, I would not recommend a visit. Pretty touristy, not much heart in the explanations, but hey, the hats are nice.

We visited both this establishment and the Homero Ortega facility near the bus terminal and this place pales in comparison. It feels a little tourist trappy. In all honesty the entire experience including an extensive tour was much better at Ortega.

Just returned from an AWSOME 2 weeks in Cuenca and Puerto Lopez, and wanted to buy a real Panama Hat, but didn't want to spend a fortune on it. Got the hat that I really wanted and getting two. LOVE IT. Thank you so much
