This gallery has a wonderful selection of art to buy. They make it right on site and have some beautiful pieces. I wanted to buy so much but it would be too heavy to carry home. They do ship your good home for you if you like. A must see.

I asked a question and the expression on their faces was like why do you bother me, I have more important things to do than serving clients. Their body language radiated arrogance and disdain.... At Vega's workshop you can watch talented artists work on fabulous pieces of art. Also, the ceramics are for sale. You can also view pictures and articles about Vega and his career.

The gallery is located just down from the church, go down right at the turi lookout and the gallery is on the left hand side, I took the double decker bus, ($5) and spent an hour looking through the gallery and then caught the next bus back to the city centre. Vega's work is absolutely beautiful and I ended up... More

Made a return trip to Turi simply to walk the 200 yards to E Vega's gallery/workshop. Situated on the side of the mountain gave us a panoramic view of the city. There are several rooms of his pieces, including bowls, vases, mugs, and wall tiles in various sizes. The vibrant colors and designs covered local scenes, folks and fauna. Prices were not unreasonable.... More
