My brother recommended I use Esteban at Ecuatraveling because Esteban had helped him with his honeymoon travel plans about 7 years ago. I reached out over WhatsApp and the communication was so easy. No language barriers and easy to coordinate the activities we wanted to do. Esteban recommended some private tours for my husband and I so we can maximize our few days in Old Town Quito to see Cotopaxi and Otavalo with a private bi-lingual tour guide before we flew off to Baltra on a Live-A-Board diving trip for a week on the Tiburon in the Galapagos Islands. They were able to provide us with amazing pricing and guided us through every step of the way with flights and timings as well as hotel recommendations. We'll definitely be recommending Ecuatraveling to all of our friends who visit Ecuador and the Galapagos. Thank you for everything Esteban!

TravelClubsInternational selected Ecuatraveling to custom design a group tour for us. We traveled during Covid with some tough travel restrictions. Our manager Pablo created an excellent itinerary for us that combined hiking, culture, natural scenery and the Galapagos islands on a budget. We were very pleased with the entire experience.

Recently my wife and I came back from a trip to Ecuador that included visiting Quito, Highlands and more attractions on the way to 8 days Galapagos cruise. We booked the entire trip through Ecuatraveling Company working with Michael Cantos. It turned out to be one of the greatest trip of my life. A lot can be said about the beauty of this country and striking experience to be on a yacht with 10 other people where every day is a real adventure, excitement and relaxation at the same time. I want to post my special “THANK YOU” to Michael Cantos who worked very hard to make it happen and was able to overcome all challenges and hurdles affecting travel industry during the COVID-19 pandemic. We lived through a last moment cancelation of the original cruise and rescheduling for a different boat, had to change the land portion of the trip due to the government imposed curfew made on a short notice, deal with the third party issues for changes to the cruise and so on. That was not an ordinary work for the travel agent and still at every step, Michael was on top of every issue, working through it and resolving to the end. His availability, great communication skills, immediate response to any inquiry and integrity are incomparable. Everything worked great – a tour guide, hotels, itinerary changes and attention to every detail possible.

Thank you guys for showing me the best of the best excursions in Ecuador. Little did I know that I would see one of the most interesting countries in the world. Why do I say it's the most interesting country in the world? Ecuador actually means equator, which makes sense since the equator line runs through the country. It was very special to get to experience the equator line even though none of the stuff at the museum made any sense. What made sense is that you can literally stand with one foot in the northern hemisphere and one in the southern hemisphere. Going there is a must and you support local. Other things that make Ecuador so special is that the summit of Mount Chimborazo, Ecuador’s highest mountain, is the point on Earth closest to the sun. Ecuador is also divided into 4 regions; the coast, the Highlands, Amazonas, and Galapagos. Another cool and really interesting fact about Ecuador is that it has the world's first and second UNESCO World Heritage Sites; Quito being the first city and Galapagos the second. It's also one of the most biodiversity countries in the world. It's crazy to think that such a small country has so much to offer. We did a loop and most importantly we drove through the avenue of volcanoes where I got to see 10 volcanoes, which 5 of them is active. Woop Woop. Then we headed to Baniõs, which is literally the end of the Andes mountains and the beginning of Amazonas. Baniõs was my favorite for sure, with deep valleys, lush and green mountains, and plenty of waterfalls around every corner. When I look back at everything we did; hiking magnificent altitudes (It looked like it was my first time hiking, haha, I couldn't manage the altitude sickness very well) road trip, rafting, rappelling, hot springs, paddleboarding in the Amazon River, playing soccer with the locals, got to meet incredible people, experience the coast with beaches, bicycling scenic routes, made homemade cheese and other local delicacy food. I can't wait to go back for more, to see the whole country. I highly recommend these guys, you will make friends for a lifetime and really experience the authentic local way of traveling in Ecuador.

Ecuatraveling helped us book both a trip to the Galápagos Islands and Cuyabena nature reserve.
We were really overwhelmed by the number of different choices for both locations and Mike from Ecuatraveling was really good in working through with us all the various options and providing tips and recommendations on what tours we may like.
Although we had initialled only planned to book a Galapagos trip via Ecuatraveling, we were so impressed with the guidance and advice Mike provided that we ended up booking both tours with him and we went disappointed.
There are so many different options and your providers, but Mike and the team at Ecuatraveling are really helpful and supportive and I could not recommend them more!
For reference, we booked the 5D and 4N Galapagos cruise on the Santa Cruz II and the 4D trip to Waita Lodge in Cuyabeno

7 days mainland, with Ivan F, who is THE BEST! Ivan is professional, courteous, and extraordinarily knowledgeable about various aspects of history, language, culture, food. We felt safe and in good hands the entire time with Ivan, who drove us to various parts of the country and provided us with an unforgettable experience we could never have come up with on our own. Highly recommend this tour and especially this guide!

My 13 year old daughter and I had the most incredible riding journey around the base of Cotopaxi through Ecuatraveling. Our driver and guide picked us up promptly at our hotel in Quito and drove us to the stables on Cotopaxi. While driving Estevan told us anything and everything we wanted to know about Quito, Ecuador, Cotopaxi, and much more.
Our riding guide also was tremendous. He fitted us out with ponchos and chaps, even though we came prepared for the cold. While riding he always made sure we were OK, often looking back or waiting, if necessary. My daughter and I own our own horses, so we are extremely comfortable riding fast, and our guide caught onto our ability quickly, so we rode at a trot and gallop a great deal of the time. The scenery is absolutely breathtaking, and I took many photos --too many for my daughter's tastes.
I highly recommend Ecuatraveling and would definitely use them again.

Iv've had an amazing trip traveling with Ecuatraveling through Peru and Ecuador! It was my first time traveling to South America and it was better than I could've ever imagined. Special thanks to Pablo who was traveling with us (a group of 19 people) all the time, showed us all the beautiful places and made me feel safe. I've now lost a part of my soul somewhere in South America. I'll be forever grateful! Looking forward to the next journey!!

We are a Los Angeles based running group who will be in town for the Guayaquil Marathon 42.2 km in Oct 2019.
Our group is 40 people and we typically travel for 14 days.
Every year we visit a different country to run a marathon. We have been to Ghana, Italy, Vietnam, Israel and Jordan. What makes our running club unique is that we run with individuals struggling with drug addiction and homelessness. We believe running can be a tool which helps depression and one piece of the puzzle to help stay sober.
Some points of interest would be (and open to many more suggestions).......
- Galapagos 4 nights (swim with whale sharks)
- Banos thermal baths
- Climbing volcanos or mountains (we are an active group:)
- Waterfalls
- Nature Reserve/Eco Lodge
- Cloud Forest
- Cooking Class or Handicraft Class
- Meet and learn about the Indigenous People of Ecuador
- Hands on monkey experience
- Devils Nose Train
Maybe some sight seeing here and there for down days but activities are way more fun
I’m still doing some research so I’ll probably have some more specific ideas soon.

Hi Patti! I was just looking at this tour. My 11 year old twin daughters and myself are spending 20 days in Quito and this looked like a good option for us. Did you ride the mules up? I see there is an option for a boat ride, did you do that? Is there enough time to do boat ride? I know my girls would enjoy that. Thanks for your review though, I appreciate it!
