About Quito Historical Old Town Tour
First, we’ll go to the "Inti-Nan" In-Situ Museum (at about 2400 meters above sea level, about 7800 feet), where you can see replicas of the Ecuadorian Highlands and Amazon and, of course, to learn about the Quitu-Cara culture, their comprehension, long before the Geodesic Mission, on the stars, and, therefore, the empowerment of the term "Center of the World"; this visit takes about 45 minutes (entrance not included).

Ask for Pablo - we had an engaging four hours with a guide who had such in depth knowledge of Quito and Ecuadorian history that we were blown away.

The description on marriott moments was not accurate and for the price, the tour was not worth it. Inaccuracies: - It is not a full-day tour. It started at 2pm and lasted 2.5 hours. - we did not Browse the central market with our guide, however, I suppose you could wander over before or after your tour on your own and do this, so don't expect an explanation regarding "a variety of goods including roses, exotic fruits, and local vegetables" - the only food you can expect to have explained to you would be icecream and chocolate. The icecream was included in the cost, but was 1.75$ and I'm unsure how much the chocolate costs, but there was a nice educational demonstration with it lasting about 15 minutes. We did get food at a restaurant at our own expense during the tour, as we had come hungry expecting to eat on the way. - We met at the independence plaza at 2pm. The first 20-30 min of the 2.5hr tour was literally standing at the monument there while our guide talked about the history of ecuador dating back 6000 years. He did spend about 2 minutes talking about the sites that could be seen from this location. Don't expect this to be the least bit comprehensive in terms of sightseeing the old town. - we did not go to the Monastery of San Francisco as mentioned in the add. We did go to the compania de Jesus, a church, the entrance fee of 5$ for this was included. It appears based on other reviewers that the misleading nature of the add has been in place for a while, but they have not changed it. Also to clarify, the booking was through marriott moments, who then goes through viator tours, who then used urban adventures--latin america to execute the tour.

The place is amazing, old historical buildings looks like if they were finished yesterday, charming narrows streets and you have to walk around the centre but it worth it, some churches you have to pay entrance fee. Take and umbrella, just in case suddenlyis raining and later very sunny

We had the most Wonder opportunity to see the jewel called Historic Quito. Our guide Pablo promptly picked us up at our hotel and took us to see Quito’s wonderful sights and magnificent Churches. The cityscapes are breathtaking. Everything was enhanced by Pablo’s detailed knowledge of the city, the Historic center and it’s history. I definitely recommend this activity. A great walk and time well spent!

The tour was very interesting from both a historical and architectural aspect. The guide was from Urban Adventures and very informative. We also visited a chocolate and ice cream factory. There was plenty of time to take pictures and ask questions. I never felt rushed. It was a small group on this tour. A fun and interesting afternoon.
