This is a very nice palace with guards out front. You are only allowed to stay for a limited time, so make sure you get all the pics you want. The guards are friendly but they don't talk - they will look at your camera...More

If you are in Quito on Mondays, go to the Palace at 11am for the weekly changing of the guards...by far, one of the highlights of the trip.

Can visit the palace but you must have your passport with you…no substitutes available…also, recommend earlier in day…we got there around 3:30 and they had already stopped allowing folks in. Need your passport to visit; closed at 1500 on our day
