I mainly use the park to ride a bicycle around it in the reserved lanes from 4:30 am to 6:30 am but the park has been updated with excellent, well lit walkways, basketball courts and synthetic soccer fields. Stations for the Metro (Subway) are in construction at both ends of the park. Maintenance and safety are now both very good.

I was so surprise last saturday I went to la Carolina to get some organic vegetables and found a brand new runway... it is a good quality way for people who love to go running. there were also brand new children spaces and overall a renewed experience at the park.

A place to get some greenery, relaxation in the middle of a busy, noisy city. It's the "Central Park" of Quito.

We started our day touring at these gardens. Lots of indigenous plants and the orchard house is phenomenal. It wasn't too hot and we just love the tropical flora and fauna.1 hour is sufficient

This is a great opportunity to see the locals playing soccer and ecuavolley. The tall city buildings offer an interesting backdrop. There are various small jungle gyms. The plants are gorgeous, and a surrounding track is padded. Very cool- easy to grab a taxi on the adjacent streets (about $5 to old town). Also- go to the botanical gardens (one... More

3 early morning runs and 1 afternoon meander. From football to yoga, athletics track to tennis, cross fit areas to rugby fields. What it does not have is not worth mentioning. Childrens play areas, a lake, so much to see and do or just go people watching.

This park was very close to the apartment where we stayed in Quito, and we visited it often. There are a variety of activities, food, people watching, and places to explore. We toured the botanical gardens within the park, got lunch at one of the many food vendors, and watched people paddle boat down the river. Lovely, safe, well kept,... More

This was a surprising find in the Carolina Park. Also a refreshing little oasis out of the sun. It boasts a very interesting orchid collection and most were in bloom! Really worth a visit!

We started our day at the botanical garden, it was a really nice and peaceful place, with a lot of name tags for the flowers. Highly recommend.
