This is a heaven in the middle of Quito. There are several well-marked walking routes of different length. The place is almost like a rain forest. Always with a lot of people, tourists and Quitonians.

This is a beautiful park, has great views, fresh air, nature everywhere, awesome for trail running. Dogs are welcome. It needs a little better signage.

It is great to walk through this Parque. It does not matter how many times you go, there are always new paths waiting for you. If you get to its highest points, you can enjoy a really nice view of the valleys surrounding Quito. And...More

Nice place to take a morning walk and enjoy nature inside the city. Mostly clean and organized. Highly recommended to go for a walk with your dog.

Parque Metropolitano is a great place to spend the day, particularly at the weekend. The park is very large and has beautiful views over Quito. It has one of the 'QUITO' signs for photos which is fun. It has equipment for calisthenics and for dog...More

To me, even after almost 2 years in Quito, the Parque Metropolitano remains my favourite park. You go go for a quick run, a 10km walk or just go lie down on one of the lawn to tan. Beautiful trees and flowers, quiet, with an...More

This is mainly an open air park. You walk through the woods and enjoy the outdoors without all the traffic of Quito. There are maps that show the paths mounted in a couple locations. Remember that you are at a high altitude so you will...More

No golf course, just walking, hiking, and mountain biking. On the weekend you can rent a mountain bike close to the park entrance.
