Extremely nice experience. Edgar(guide & CEO of Lonely Summit) is professional, tough, and truly reliable person, and took me successfully to the summit such a very difficult situation. I really enjoyed that expedition and strongly recommend this company if you want to climb Aconcagua or other big mountains.
エクアドルの会社ですが、アコンカグアをはじめ南米の登山ガイドをやってくれます。信頼のおける会社で、所属ガイドもよく教育されており、楽しい時間を過ごすことが出来ました。

We climbed Cotopaxi with lonely summits. The trip was arranged through secret garden Cotopaxi. A driver picked us up at secret garden and drove us to Machachi. There we met our guides. Bring two pair of long hiking socks and if you have some base layers. All other necessary clothes and equipment is provided by lonely summits. After this stop our guides took us to the Cotopaxi basecamp (4800 m). We had dinner and (tried to) sleep for a few hours. Around midnight we started the climb so we arrived at the summit around dawn (6 am). The way down takes another 2 hours. After breakfast in the basecamp the guides drove us back to secret garden. We didn’t have any mountaineering experience. No special technical skills are necessary. Just try to be acclimatized. We climbed Rucu Pichincha and Ruminahui the days before. The climb will still be hard but not undoable. We really enjoyed the experience and recommend the professional and experienced guides of lonely summits.

Did Cotopaxi & Chimborazo with Lonely Summits. They managed to squeeze me in with only 48 hours notice, and I climbed with Cristian and Sergei respectively.

Overall - great experience. The guide shop in Machachi has great equipment (double boots, ice axes, helmets, etc) and the guides are strong, agreeable, and competent. Spanish is likely needed for many guides - the ones I had didn't have much English. Price was $590 and $790 respectively. Summited both mountains whereas most other clients did not succeed at Chimborazo. Credit here goes to Sergei taking things slow and steady.

Overall - highly recommend this group. They'll give you a great shot at summit and keep you safe while you do so!

Ecuador was a fantastic playground for climbing and trekking. The scenery is spectacular as there is so much diversity all within a few hours of driving.

We started acclimatizing with Fuya Fuya, Imbabura, Wawa Pichincha, and Rucu Pichincha - lunch with the hawks was amazing. Then we summited Illiniza Norte with a great stay at the Refuge. Our last summit was Cotopaxi before we relaxed at the Termas Papallacta.

Edgar Parra did a great job. We felt very safe on all the climbs as his competency, attitude, and encouragement were all 100%. We a looking forward to a return trip to Ecuador or perhaps venture to another venue in South America with Lonely Summits.

We just finished a 9 day, 4 mountain trip with Lonely Summits and couldn't be happier with the level of service and expertise with the management staff, guide and everyone else at Lonely Summits. Edgar and Galina have put together an outstanding organization. Our guide, Franklin, was very attentive to all of our needs. From making sure we had the right equipment to route finding, mountain knowledge and safety. Although we were not able to get to the summit of our final objective, Cayambe, it was definitely a fantastic trip. Look no further, book your trip with Lonely Summits

I successfully climbed Cotopaxi as part of the Lonely Summits' private 3 day Cotopaxi climb in January 2020. There are a lot of logistics around the climb. All of it was well organized and perfectly executed by Lonely Summits (Galina, Edgar, Segundo). My mountain guide was William Revere and I thought he was very good. We were lucky with the weather, but at the same time we also executed everything well. For example, we got up with everyone in the Refugio, but were the first out on the trail. Things like that do contribute to whether you summit or not.
Afterwards I did a Chimborazo climb with a group that hired individual guides "off the street", i.e. non-affiliated with a known company, and things did not go as well. Guides get paid whether you summit or not and so, unless reputation is involved, as it is with a known and reviewed company like Lonely Summits, it's actually in the guide's interest to turn back as soon as possible. Weather and your physical conditioning are probably the biggest factors in whether you summit or not, but guide's efforts and motivation are also very important. For example, on Chimborazo, our guide started complaining and talking about turning back 20 min out the gate. My opinion: don't skimp, hire a reputable company, e.g. Lonely Summits, and you'll significantly increase you chances for success.

Did Cotopaxi with them in August. The guide was knowledgeable, knew what he was doing, and brought me safely back down, but wasn't very communicative. I would ask him question and he wouldn't answer. Guess that's why he is a mountain guide and not a touristic guide. Overall, it was great. Would advise everyone to do it.

Chimborazo with Fausto Tenemasa

Extraordinary experience with Fausto. Great professional and with proven experience. Even though the weather did not allow us to reach the summit, it was brutal to be there.

I'm looking forward to it and looking forward to returning!

Many thanks to the entire Lonely Summits team, and especially to Fausto.

I applied this tour before Covid-19 but I couldn't go, and they waited me for about 3 years. I felt very conscientious and relieved. They organized the schedule perfectly and I was able to reach the summit of Chimborazo. The guide was professional and took me safely to the summit. It was a very enjoyable climb.
