We contacted Jamie And Angela several weeks before our trip and gave them a list of things we wanted to see and activities we wanted to do. They came up with a very organized two day tour that fit in every thing we wanted to do and see. They picked us up at our hotel and we began our first day tour which included a trip of the TelefricQo with a hike up to the infamous swing for a fun photo. Angela and Jamie made sure we were there early and we were the first in line for the trip up the volcano. Afterwards, we headed to Intinan Equator Museum and again we avoided the crowds by following their schedule and arriving before the tour buses. We stopped for lunch at a lovely local restaurant that they suggested and were treated to amazing empanadas and tried the local fruit juices. Then our tour continued with the Guayasamin Museum and house and we’re even able to fit in the Quito Basilica.
Our second day tour was to climb to the refuge at Cotapaxi and afterwards, they took us to a wonderful restaurant where we dined on local specialities and enjoyed a spectacular view of Cotapaxi from the floor to ceiling windows. Turning our itinerary over to them made it stress-free and ensured we saw everything we wanted to see. They shared with us many stories of Quito’s culture, the indigenous people of Ecuador and the history of the country. Not only were they very informative, but they were so much fun and we had a thoroughly enjoyable 2 days touring the area with them

Our family of four ( college aged kids) did two days of touring with Lets Go To Ecuador in mid-December 2021. We would highly recommend Angela and Jaime for anyone looking to have a personal guided experience of the city and surrounding areas. They were knowledgeable, great communicators, and lead us on a great walking tour of old town Quito, the “middle of the earth” and a Saturday trip to Otavalo market and the surrounding areas. The large, roomy van they used made travel extremely comfortable for the 4 of us, 2 of them & driver. Thank you A & J for helping us make the most of our short time in your city!

We celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary with this exciting vacation for the whole family. Angela and Jamie (letsgotoecuador) were able to put together a wonderful, memorable, and cultural experience for our 3 generations of 25 family members ranging from ages 7 to 73. We wanted to visit specific cities and sites but didn’t know if it would be possible. Angela and Jamie pulled it off! Everything was well-planned and executed. They were extremely responsive before and during the trip. Communicating with them was very easy and fast. Angela has many connections throughout Ecuador and knows the best places and things to do for a cultural adventure. Our family loved Ecuador with its wide diversity from the city to the Amazon jungle to the Andes mountains. We visited Quito, Otavalo, Cuyabeno, Banos, and Cotopaxi with our large group without a hitch. The Amazon jungle and Banos adventure were the highlights of the trip. Angela provided suggestions and made arrangements for other short cultural stops along the way that were perfect, and the kids loved all of them. Restaurant reservations and transportation for a large group would not have been possible without their expertise and advance planning. Angela and Jamie were very attentive to our needs during our various tours and bus rides. Our family felt safe and secure traveling on such an extensive trip. I would highly recommend Letsgotoecuador without hesitation for both small and large groups and people of all ages! Ama la vida!

My husband and I , along with another couple , just spent 2 days with Angela and Jaime visiting Quilotoa Lake and Cotopaxi Volcano National Park. They both are truly terrific guides in that they were extremely knowledgeable, so helpful, and simply a lovely fun engaging duo. Our trip exceeded our expectations. And also they were able to arrange the perfect clear weather for our hiking the volcano :)

I wish we could bring Angela and Jamie on all of our trips! By the time we arrived in Ecuador we already felt like friends. They helped plan a very complex family trip with 25 people, from ages 7 to 73, that took us all over Ecuador including Quito, Otavalo, Cotacachi, Cuyabeno (jungle), Baños, Cotopaxi, and Galapagos. Everything went off without a hitch. Angela and Jamie provided great hotel recommendations and helped us book everything we needed. While we were in country they helped with restaurant arrangements, airport pickups, and really anything we needed. They even had a custom cake sent to a restaurant to celebrate an anniversary. Their personal service and care truly went above and beyond. They were so accommodating and knowledgeable. Our trip was 100% customized for us and they came up with some really unique and interesting experiences for all ages. A trip of a lifetime! I’ll absolutely use them again and recommend them to anyone planning a trip to Ecuador.

We had great experiences with both of our tours thru Let’s Go Ecuador. Angela was great to communicate with and helped planned customized tours that worked for our family of 4. Luis was our guide for both full day excursions, first to Cotopaxi where he guided us through the National park, helped get us acclimated to the altitude and guided us on the hike to the refuge. Our second tour included the 3 1/2 hr drive to Baños, a tour of the the area waterfalls and attractions and to la casa del árbol site. Luis guided us through the Pailon del Diablo waterfall hike gave detailed information about the area. On both trips we had a spacious van, it was clean and well cared for. Luis stopped at rest stops as needed, told us about the different towns we were traveling through and he was happy to talk about the people and country of Ecuador, share his knowledge and make us feel at home. We highly recommend touring with this company.

Our family went on two excellent day trips from Quito with Let’s Go to Ecuador - to Mindo and to Lake Quilotoa. Luis was our guide for both trips. We communicated with Angela to set them up. She was very easy to work with, responding promptly and modifying the schedule to meet our requests. Luis was informative and flexible and always very prompt. We highly recommend working with them in general and these trips in particular!

We traveled, a couple with two adult sons, in Ecuador for five days closely accompanied by the lovely Angela and Jamie. Angela and Jamie did everything in order to show us the best of Ecuador, taking into account the activities suitable for each of us. They made our time enjoyable with diverse activities and our experience was far beyond our expectations. Their extensive knowledge was conveyed in a fascinating way and their pleasant nature made the trip in Ecuador a pleasant and exceptional experience. we had limited time and they made the best of it. We became familiar very quickly with this lovely couple and felt like their friends from a long time ago. We strongly recommend to anyone who plans to visit Ecuador not to miss the experience of a guided trip with Angela and Jamie. We all hope that we will be able to travel with them again in the future.

During our intensive planning of our trip to Ecuador last December and January 2021 we found very positive comments regarding the Canadian-Ecuadorian tourguide couple Angela and Jamie (Letsgotoecuador.com) which guiding private tours in Ecuador.
We wrote our expectations at first for all together four day tours to Mindo, Cotopaxi, Quilotoa and so on.
Just from the first replies of Angela we knew we are "on the right place" to plan our private tours.
We are a couple from Austria who travels the world since 30 years and if we need a tourguide we prefer only private tours which are custom made with our expectations.
We wrote to Angela and Jamie what´s our focus and what we would like to see in Ecuador and we got back a detailed, well organized tour plan, customized to our ideas. With many emails and What´s app messages we finished the details of our tour.
Regarding the quick changes during the Covid pandemic we had chanced some parts of our journey, which ended in seven day tours with two overnight stays. Every day was very well organized, perfect selection of places to go, eat and visit. We traveled by Minibus with driver or with Angela and Jamies private car. Everyone was very safe driving, we felt very well and relexed.
The preparing of every kind of circumstances was absolutely perfect, couldn´t be better. Angela organized PCR-Tests for us to be able to go to Galapagos islands, where the laboratory people came to our Hotel and did the test, Very comfortable!
She reserved one test for us at Guayaquil airport after returning from Galapagos. Thats really tricky to get a test on carnival weekend in South America ! She made it possible !
After the cancellation of our Amazon trip (Covid again) from our travel agency in Europe Angela and Jamie booked a wonderful Lodge (Sacha Lodge) for us at the Amazon. And we did it !!
At the end, we will say, it was the best decision to book the tours with Angela and Jamie. They are very well knowledgeable about their country, everything was perfect organized and absolutely safe. These couple is helpful far over you will expecting !!
We absolutly recommend to book tours with Letsgotoecuador.com from Angela and Jamie ! They are doing a great job !!

We are a Los Angeles based running group who will be in town for the Guayaquil Marathon 42.2 km in Oct 2019.
Our group is 40 people and we typically travel for 14 days.
Every year we visit a different country to run a marathon. We have been to Ghana, Italy, Vietnam, Israel and Jordan. What makes our running club unique is that we run with individuals struggling with drug addiction and homelessness. We believe running can be a tool which helps depression and one piece of the puzzle to help stay sober.
Some points of interest would be (and open to many more suggestions).......
- Galapagos 4 nights (swim with whale sharks)
- Banos thermal baths
- Climbing volcanos or mountains (we are an active group:)
- Waterfalls
- Nature Reserve/Eco Lodge
- Cloud Forest
- Cooking Class or Handicraft Class
- Meet and learn about the Indigenous People of Ecuador
- Hands on monkey experience
- Devils Nose Train
Maybe some sight seeing here and there for down days but activities are way more fun
I’m still doing some research so I’ll probably have some more specific ideas soon.

Dear Alejandra: We would like to let you know that public transportation in Ecuador is safe and very economical, we will suggest you to take a taxi from your hotel in Quito to go to:
Latacunga from Quitumbe station( 2.5 hours) from here to to go Quiotota is 1.5 hour more, safe.
To go to Cotopaxi, look into one of the tour operators that run bike tours like biking dutchman, they are great and good price.
To go to Banos also from Quitumbe station, nice and safe 3,5 hour ride.

I will be in Quito on Friday, April 17 and Saturday, April 18. I am interested in seeing Otavalo and think I read if I go really early on a Saturday morning, that is the best day for the market and that I can also see locals selling livestock?? I am also interested in Mindo and in going to the equator -- as well as Old Town Quito. Is this all doable in two days? There will likely be four of us, but maybe only two. Are you free either or both of those days?

Dear Mary: The Otavalo Market with textiles and had crafts is open every day of the year, the Animal Market works only on Saturdays staring at 5:00 am, these sites are located at the North East side of Quito, Mindo Cloud Forest is located at the North West side of Quito, they are different tours, unfortunately, we run a very small operation, we are who run the tours at all times and we have been booked for those days, we recommend you to check to hire a driver perhaps.
