“EL EJIDO” PARK & CRAFT MARKET “El Ejido” Park is a popular Central Park, it is the third largest in the Quito and divides the old city and the modern one. The park is vibrant and enjoyed by locals and visitors specially in the weekends. Delightfully peaceful with tons of history to enjoy outdoor activities either by yourself, family or... More

With plenty of vendors who are willing to negotiate. A nice stroll to watch people and enjoy the outdoors. A good stop any day of the week.

There are a number of vendors at the one end of the park selling what you can see in any market. There is some significant construction at the other end of the park but the heavy equipment is only in that area. Plenty of benches or grass to stop and rest. If you meander it should take about an hour... More

This is a little venison of Central Park. Families come out to enjoy a weekend day. On weekends, vendors line the paths with all sorts of wares. Great place to spend a sunny afternoon.

I went for a run one morning and even with people headed to catch buses to with, the sidewalks were plenty wide for running without running into people. The paths criss-cross the park so I was able to get a run in and wander back and forth through the park. The vendors were starting to set up and there were... More

Walked through here as we were exploring Quito . Nice park to walk through, for someone from North East US, interesting trees. Several areas to sit, lots of playground equipment sprinkled throughout the park.

I was looking for the the Casa dela Cultura when I stumbled upon this attraction. It is huge, clean park with lots of things to do. I admired several statues located near each other. I visited on a weekday and the park was not busy at all.

This park is wonderful to visit on the weekend especially. Many families and beautiful walks and trees. Vendors selling artisan goods and art on the weekend also. Great place to chill, but be sure to watch your belongings, as pickpockets can be in the area. Safe otherwise, give it a try.

Great for kids with lots of activities plus you can rent bikes and tricycles. When we where there, there was an art show in the park plus handicrafts.
