There is an entrance fee and you can't take photos but it's definitely worth a visit and there is more than just the church to see.

This church was built by the Jesuits. The stone columns on the facade were inspired by Bernini's columns at the Vatican. The interior of the edifice is beautiful (beyond words), and covered with gold from floor to ceiling. If this church was built to inspire...More

Simply mind-blowing! The architect and the detail is so fascinating that you will be lost praising it. They don't let you take pictures inside so please respect that.

While I found the poverty vs the wealth inside this church to be thought provoking, this church is not to be missed. Having a local tour guide to explain the history of the church was quite valuable.

One of the highlights of Quito. Incredibly beautiful with its altar covered in Gold. There is a small admission fee, but it's well worth it.

Worth a look - and in a fascinating area of Quito. Have to pay to go in, so if you'd rather not, just go into the front entrance and have a peak for nothing.

Yes, they have specific schedules for masses and of course every sunday the church is closed for visits and it is only open for locals to attend a mass.
