If you are in the area and in the market for average quality souvenirs or just want to buy yourself a new poncho, this might be the market for you. Many of the stalls sell the same merchandise and when you begin to wander the...More

The market has lots of vendors. Space is very tight. You can find many choices of all kinds of goods. Vendors are more than willing to sell.

We did not go to Otavalo which is the main artisanal market so I cannot really compare it to that but there were plenty of shops here. As with all artisanal markets, there are plenty of the same goods and most of them not very...More

It is worth a visit, there is plenty of things. Nice visit, well organized. We went on a Sunday and it was not too crowded. Conveniently located. We then walked to Plaza Foch for lunch. Nice experience overall.

The market is alright, you can find lots of stuff but not much of unique items which you have a much better chance to find in Otovalo, especially on Saturday.

This was not worth the visit. All of the stalls sell the same stuff - hammocks, blankets, scarves, clothes, key-chains, and other souvenirs. All of the goods were cheap mass-market items without character or quality, designed for tourists. I do not recommend it. You will...More

We visited this market twice while in Quito and loved chatting with the different vendors. There are a lot of the same touristy items all over (airports etc) but here you have a large selection of vendors and can negotiate a good price. there are...More
