Our extended family, three from Switzerland and one from California, booked a private horseback tour in northeastern Uruguay in October of 2016 with Sally Vergette, whom we had first met on a horseback tour in Ecuador in December of 2015. Once again we enjoyed our trip with Sally immensely. Our horses were well-trained and fit, our overnight accommodations were topnotch... More

We had an AMAzing 3 days of horses, scenery, delicious food, and Ecuadorean flora, fauna, and culture with Sally on our Ride Andes trip. WHAT a delight - everything was taken care of impeccably, in the lowest-key, no-fuss, friendly comfortable way possible. I'm a long-time rider, and my (new - we were on honeymoon!) husband is not at all, and... More

Stepping out of my life for a minute to spend three months volunteering for Ride Andes was one of the best decisions I ever made! The opportunity to see Ecuador from a different perspective to that of a regular tourist is unparalleled, plus you get to do it all from the back of a beautiful and well-loved horse. Working on... I had a fantastic experience with Ride Andes! Sally and the team really looked after me and the horses were great, all forward going but well behaved so I was able to enjoy the scenery with no stress (Erik and Tostado became favourites!). I started off with a couple of days riding at 'La Finca', and was able to enjoy... More

What a great day! I am a high school teacher and I took a group of students on an educational tour to see people and cultures of Ecuador. Our last day we had free time for an excursion so after a bit of research I booked a day horseback riding trip with Sally Vergette's RideAndes. I was overjoyed with the... More

My review of Ride Andes is long overdue, but due to a recent negative experience riding in Patagonia, I feel compelled to vouch for a company which is doing such an excellent job. I am a lifelong horse enthusiast, I have ridden for over 20 years and have worked a couple of seasons at guest ranches in Colorado. I travel... More

We had a 7 day ride through the magnificent scenery of the Cotopaxi National Park in a group of 6, staying in a range of different haciendas. Horses were reliable, incredibly sure-footed, well schooled and good natured. Our guides, Sally, Cesar and Xavier were all professional, friendly and had a good knowledge of the area and the horses. The supporting... More

Our family took a day trip with Sally and Rhiannon. Sally was thoughtful and thorough introducing us to our mounts and letting us get comfortable before setting out. The ride was beautiful. My daughters, who have been riding for many years, really enjoyed the ride, especially the opportunities to canter ahead of their more cautious parents. My husband had only... More

We were privileged to book with Sally a two day, private ride through Cotoapaxi National Park. The views of the volcano and surrounding landscape were breathtaking, herds of wild horses and wild steers were a few of the surprises we encountered. Sally's professionalism and care regarding the horses was stellar, the horse were well trained and well cared for throughout... More

We contacted Sally about a day of riding and we were given a few options to choose from. She was very accommodating and took great care in getting all the information needed to match us with the right horse. Sally was very thorough in outlining everything we would need to have/bring. She also provided wool ponchos, saddlebags, half chaps and... More
