Fun tour! Great food! The guide was very friendly and brought a lot of historical context to the tour. My only gripe, tour needs more alcohol... the candelazo was at the end! Lol.

I went solo, and I had a fantastic time. The tour guide made me try various indigenous fruits and specialties. And since I was the only one that day, and I’m very adventurous with food, he was very flexible in allowing me to try anything that piqued my interest in the market. Highly recommended.

We had a wonderful day with Francisco as our guide to Quito. He struck an ideal balance by allowing us to ask questions and explore while keeping us on track to fit everything in. He was very knowledgeable himself, but also encouraged us to talk with the market vendors and chef at the restaurant, enriching our tour by facilitating positive interactions with everyone we met. I've lived in Ecuador for nearly three years now and have studied Ecuadorian cuisine, but still learned about four or five new ingredients in the market. At the restaurant, learning about each dish we would later eat only made it more delicious, and we were stuffed by the end of 5 courses. I highly recommend the market tour, but given Francisco's friendly a knowledgeable style, I'm sure any tour would be excellent.
