Interesting museum, worthwhile to visit: Guayasamin painted the forgotten ones of society, a great collection of his work!

Oh my, the Chapel of Man (La Capilla Del Hombre) should be on your list of places to visit even during a short stay in Quito. I'd not heard of the artist Guayasamin before this trip. He is powerfully expressive and feels his subjects intensely....More

This museum is surprising in its architecture and scale. Beautiful and very impressive. There are some of Guayasamín’s largest works on building design is gorgeous as well. We ran out of time but would have liked to spend more.

I had never heard of Oswaldo Guayasamín before, but the museum guide brought me up to speed combining interesting details about the author and his paintings with the background of several ethinicities in Ecuador. Excellent museum, wonderful art.
