Beach for swimming Algarrobo
Jan 2019
Playa Canelo is a relatively nice beach where you can swim, although there are lots of water sports/activities that distract. And locals leave it relatively clean, although there could be more bins for people to place their rubbish.

OK beach

Prefer nearby El Canelillo beach and the overlook of each. The views of the Islote Pajeros Niños is the standout landmark.

One of my favorite beaches and destinations
Feb 2018 • Business
My first swim in the Pacific was done here on New Years Day 2018. It was sunny day and it wasn't as cold as I had expected. We arrived early at about 9 am and by 12 pm the beach was packed with barely enough room to walk. Everyone loves this beach! I also love the view down overlooking the beach from the forest to the south and axcessed from EL Quizco. I have some amazing photo and memories of this area.

Nice Beach

This looked like a lovely natural beach down the coast and away from all the hustle and bustle of the urban Valparaiso port area

El Canelo, one of the best beaches
Aug 2017 • Solo
A beautiful place to share with friends, is only 20 minutes from the main street and when you arrive you find a forest and down to the beach you can see the sea with different shades of blue. You can also rent a parasol for just 2000 Chilean pesos. 100% recommended to clear a moment and leave the routine.

The Best Beach in Chile

Dont worry about work, weather or life itself.
When you get to this amazing place, you will understand.
Ive been going here since I was a kid and i think that there is no more magical beach than this one.
Surrounded by its own forest (it takes a walk to get down there) it is one of the most relaxing places ive ever been.

Tip: Try to avoid holidays and long weekends.

Beautiful View of Valparaiso from this beach
Dec 2016 • Couples
We were driving from Santiago to Valparaiso for a day trip and our guide brought us here first, so that we could see the lovely houses and view over the harbour to the World UNESCO Heritage site. It was a great place to get into the Pacific and see the view.
I recommend it.

Crowded public beach
Jan 2017 • Couples
Parking our rental car on a nearby city street (you pay later) we walked through the full parking lot, the lovely pine forest (big fallen cones to take home), carrying our picnic cooler (ignoring the "no picnic signs" as surely they mean no barbecues?) we found a few square metres for our beach umbrella and towels at the extreme south end of this obviously very popular sandy beach. This is by no means a serene place, with people zipping overhead on the Canopy El Canelo, riders lining up for the banana boats, boom boxes blaring and hawkers looking for customers. But the sun shone, the surf rolled in, people were in good spirits and life was good. Not a place we will return to as there is so much else to see and do, but interesting all the same.

scenic drive
Nov 2016 • Couples
We were riding in a UBER Mecedes 500SL and did the whole coast line turning inland where the cracking plant is and continuing on to the highway to Santiago stopping in the wine country and enjoying some great wines. The drive along the coast was beautiful.
