I booked several tours and airport transfers for a group of friends on a cruise ship due to disembark in San Antonio on Mar 15, 2020. In the weeks and months leading up to the date of disembarking, Michael was so easy to work with, planning the itineraries, contacting local wineries to confirm reservations, confirming details,

10 of us coming of a cruise ship had our transport organised by Michael. Very punctual, nice ride in a big Mercedes-Benz van with ample space for everyone's luggage. The driver also organised for the airport drop-offs first then onward to the city hotels. By the way, this was from San Antonio to Santiago. Highly recommended, very reasonable in costs.

The tour company picked us up from our cruise ship at the San Antonio port. Carmen (who is also a sommelier) was our guide. We walked around old port of Valpariso, took funicular rides into the funky part of town (Pleasant and Conception hills, bars, cafe, shops) . We had a van tour of Vina Del Mar, followed by a wonderful wine tasting at Indomita Winery. We had a wonderful day.

I have organized over 120 private tours from cruise ships with groups averaging 50-100 people in multiple vehicles. I select the best tour operators from TripAdvisor reviews so I always review the ones I use when returning from a cruise trip. During our recent 5 week South American trip I arranged 20 private tours averaging almost 100 people. So my review reflects my experience working with the tour operator to develop the itinerary, arrange vehicles and guides, and making payments; the tour Group that I participated in; and feedback from the other Groups in various vehicles on the tour. I coordinated with Michael Arnold to arrange two tour itineraries with 3 Group of 16 passengers from San Antonio, Chile (our docking port). The itineraries included: Valparaiso and Vina del Mar with 1 Winery Stop Santiago de Chile with 1 Winery Stop Michael was very responsive and helpful to arrange everything. Our port changed from Valparaiso to San Antonio and our ship departure time changed from 9pm to 6pm so that complicated everything. Furthermore, we found out during the tour that we had to be back on board 45 minutes before what the ship originally told us. Michael contacted the other guides and they re-arranged the itineraries to fit the new time. This meant we missed some things but it was not the fault of the tour operator. The tours went very well considering the above, and I highly recommend Michael the German Pirate for your tour needs in this area. Michael is also an excellent tour guide, and his humor and knowledge is very enjoyable.

We were on a cruise ship docked in San Antonio, Chile. I was really looking forward to this tour because of the excellent reviews on Trip Advisor. Our group of 16 were promised a van for 19 passengers so we would have a few empty seats to spread out. Unfortunately we were given a smaller van and 4 of us were packed like sardines in the rear seat which was very uncomfortable for the 1.5 hour drive to Valparaiso. I liked Carmen, our guide. The drive through Vina del Mar was lovely, but I wish we could have gotten out of the van to take pictures of the flower clock and the statue from Easter Island. The brief wine tasting at Indomita Winery was enjoyable.
