"Pay What You Want" Walking Tours Everyday of the week at 10am and 3pm in Valparaiso, Chile. We meet in front of the huge monument in Plaza Sotomayor in Valparaiso every day of the week. Our guides wear red and white striped t-shirts like the children's book 'Where is Wally' or 'Where's Waldo' on some countries, so it is easy to find us. The tour is a 3 hour highlights walk through the city giving you historical, cultural, gastronomical and street art insights into Valparaiso Chile. Reservations are not required but always recommended. We also offer private tours for those who want a smaller group and more personalised experience..

My friend and I took both the morning and afternoon tours. They are different and we enjoyed both. The guides are enthusiastic and know the city well. I was impressed with how well they speak English. We used local transport where required. Everything was great.

We booked a Tour 4 Tips for the day our cruise ship was in town. What a great idea. Our guide was friendly and informative. We walked, caught public transport and then walked some more. We were taken out of the heart of the city and saw some great architecture.

We were in Valporaiso for a very short time. Our last afternoon we were able to join this tour and I wish we had been able to do it when we first arrived. It gives a great overview of the city and its architecture and it's history. We learned how to use trolley system and have the city was founded,... More

We had a 3:00 reservation with “Tours for tips.” We were given a very good walking tour, and truly enjoyed it. Valparaiso is built on “45 hills” and while going up was pretty easy using the funicular (from 1902), once on top there were a lot of ups and downs sometimes with stairs. As my dear wife (DW) is recovering... More

We went with them. Young students explain their City. The Guide had been mainly from other countries, so they know what you want to know. They answer to all questions.

Did all four tours , two in Santiago and two in Valparaiso . I wish every city had such a quality service. What a great idea. The tours are led by young knowledgeable people, who are able to share stories and give a feel for why they love their cities and country. They shared the beauty the difficulties and the... More

While in Valpo we did the morning tour w Camilo and what a great tour leader he was. I have been to Chile many times yet I learned so much on his tour. He is fun and super knowledgable, he shines at what he does! We enjoyed the tour SO much that we ran and had lunch then returned for... More

Walking tour with Tours for Tips is a must do when you are in Valparaiso. These guys are amazing and funny. They know a lot about history and the area as many of them are born/raised in the area.
