Might be a brief, useful diversion for the kids on a rainy day ... but only if they're fluent in Spanish, because there are no English descriptions at all. Even then, I'm not sure I would bother. I went because the collection purportedly includes some...More

Some history of the country, but it all stops in 1973, very curious. Somewhat interesting exhibitions, but on the whole very disappointing.

Museum is free. Very nice. There was a bit of renovations going on at the time. Note this museum is in Spanish with very little English sub titles. Overall enjoyable.

Excellent museum with a lot of historical information. Very little in English so a decent understanding of Spanish is essential. This said it is well worth a visit. Free entry.

Interesting for a short visit. The museum is a nice stop, you don't need to spend all day - unless your a real natural history fan.

The Quinta Normal Park is a bit off the beaten path. It has some nice buildings among them this museum. The museum has seen better days and it's exhibits are sparse but nice. If you're in the area you should visit but not worth traveling...More

My intention it was to visit another museum inside the Quinta Normal park, but I visited this museum by accident (lol) and I really enjoyed the exhibition of the Chilean fauna and flora. Very nice!

The last time we went, they had an outstanding exhibition on dinosaurs and the related period in Earth's history (hence the four stars). On other occasions the place can be quite drab, but hey: no entrance fee! However, the surrounding park is a gift to...More

Came to this museum with an interest in science and nature for something to do one afternoon. It was free entry and the exhibits are very good as long as you don’t mind taxidermy!
