Wonderful Space for Walking, Running or Simply Enjoying

While in Santiago we stayed at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel. The hotel is close to this wonderful park. We walked there every day and enjoyed the fresh air and greenery as well as all the activities going on in the park. It also has lots of little kiosks selling food and drinks as well as a few bars and restaurants as well. It’s well lit and the area has a special security force to keep the park safe and accessible to all. It is a very pleasant green space full of activity in a busy city.

Parks…Chile has many green areas

Santiago has many parks. It’s fantastic. Families, young, old, singles and couples.
Right next to high rises: residential and commercial as well as the huge mall.
Quiet and peaceful. Go ahead and shop, then take a stroll in this park

Beautiful park

I’m living in Santiago for a complete year now. When I arrived with my family, we chose our apartment as close as possible to this park. Big park with a lot of activities for young and adults. There are also nice playing ground for kids which are temporarily closed due to
COVID. Anyway, still a nice place where to spend time with family and friends.

One of the major green spaces in Las Condes, Santiago, Chile.

This beautiful park is a part of urban renewal project with the middle class in mind. We were told it has interesting history and part of the area became the real estate project that later became Park Mall Arauco. The park is a great place for entire family and festivals and special events frequently take place here.

Great to take a break

This is a green spot by the side of a very good mall (Parque Arauco), So you can spend money at the mall and spend a relaxing free time here for a while, you can hardly hear the cars running in the neighboring streets. It is at walking distance from the Manquehue Subway station (5 blocks) so you do not need to get a cab just some good sneakers and on you go!

We went into the mall to kill some time. By Australian standards everything on expensive. But in Chile the upper class can have it all.

Wonderful Park with lots of activities

Beautiful Park with biking, skate board facility, mountain bike track (small for teenagers), Beach volleyball, lots of trees, benches to sit and jogging space. Room for dogs to play as well.

Escape the bustle

We had a few hectic city days of touring, so it was nice to find this place and chill out. We were told to avoid the weekend when it gets busier and try and visit when people were at work and kids were in school. It worked!

Beautiful park!

It worth a while to visit this beautiful park, located near to Manquehue subway station, and near to Parque Arauco mall. There is activities for every taste, basketball courts, skate park, gardens with benches to rest, a beautiful tunnel with flowers that will lead you to the other side of the park, places for dogs, etc. It´s a good place to photograph, or get a good book and forget the time sitting on a bench.

A beautiful green space in the heart of the city

Parque Araucano should definitely be on your agenda if you are in the Las Condes area of Santiago. There is something there for everyone to enjoy. The grounds are beautiful, well kept and clean. Plus it is in a very safe area. The first time I visited I was with my two grandchildren (ages 5 and 3). There were several play areas which they thoroughly enjoyed. The second time I was there by myself (70+ year old female). The grounds are lovely to walk through with lots to see, beautiful rose garden, an aviary, picnic tables and benches and lovely fountains. If you love to walk or jog, this is a perfect place. There is also a huge shopping mall across the street to explore or grab a bite to eat.
