I only had enough time for a speedy visit to this museum which is very good and in one of the buildings from colonial times. It covers the history of the country with all sorts of artefacts from pre-Colombian times to the coup that overthrew Allende.

The museum is located in the Plaza de Armas and is impossible to miss. The museum is surprisingly large, and one can easily spend an hour or more really checking out everything. The museum basically goes through Chile's history and has a variety of objects, artwork, and photographs to explain the country's history. Overall, I was quite impressed by the... More

Simply point it at the orange circles next to many exhibits and you get an a description in English or other languages that is informative and exponentially adds to the experience. You can pause it, adjust the... More

I loved my day half day at Museum of History. When you're visiting Santiago de Chile, you soon realise, not many Museums have good Audioguides for international visitors. All the more reason to highlight the once who have: and not only was the AudioGuide in 3 languages, the Museum was very interesting too. Many interesting displays about the area before... More

Nice collection of historical items, however everything in the museum is in Spanish only. A little bit unfortunate as it would have been nice to learn about the history of Chile
