If you are visiting Santiago, The Park Arauco Mall is a wonderful choice for shopping. However, you can be robbed by dishonest taxi drivers that stay in front of it. They charge over 20.000 pesos chilenos for driving 5 minutes, saying that exist another extra taxes. They avoid leaving you in front of your hotel fot not having to be aproached by the door keeper. THEY ARE A DISGRACE TO THE CHILEAN!!!

We WERE STOLEN IN THIS SHOPPING . On Friday May 2 got stolen wallet in PF Changs the Arauco. PF changs behaved in giving help, people from work or shopping to check the perimeter was not taken . Who headed the Information Desk, 1st floor (in front of. starbucks ) refused to give us help , pretending to be busy to steal ... it is unfortunate , but it's unfortunate that no Security mobilize to do the work that corresponds do, work done in return for a salary and not for love of craft is more than clear . On the other hand , who also use stolen cards, not rough him with silver and everything else . Shopped in RIPLEY . It's amazing , nobody demanded documents who showed a card that was not his. This is a total lack of security, irresponsibility , and talks about abasoluta inefficiency. What happened to us was a bad time I wish no one has the bad taste to pass . And hopefully the shopping is willing to improve the security staff , personnel information and give the customer service you deserve from a disaster .

If you lived in a second or third world country, this "Park" would be a big deal. But if you come from the USA, Canada, most of Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Japan, etc., it is an over-priced shopping zone. If you are looking for authentically good prices, then the Zofri Mall in the city of Iquique in the north of Chile is a place to find real deals! See my review of that Mall for more details.

This is a large and interesting shopping mall which arguably is supposed to be the best in Chile. It has a lot of prominent brand stores and world class shopping opportunities. There is an indoor section and outdoor area. One can find a lot of good restaurants here, ice cream places and bakeries with pastries. Outdoor section in good weather is very attractive for entire family. The mall has a cinema, tourist office to book trips at, ATMs.

There's lots of convenience and the mall is massive with a big American style feel which is new for Santiago compared to the other older shopping centres. It's shiny and flash and if you're used to going to large shopping complexes it's pretty much the same. If you want a real Chilean shopping experience this isn't it - Mall Parque Arauco is a high end complex with lots of outdoor restaurants catered for the top end of the city.

Beware the taxi drivers in Santiago! They lie about the routes, they lie about prices, and if this is not enough, they try to switch bills (for example, if you give a 10.000 pesos bill, they say you gave only 1.000). To avoid this is simple: use uber or easy taxi (or anorther app). It's more reliable, better service, and MUCH CHEAPER!

The parc is nice for a stroll and will soon be connected to another parc at the otherside of av maquehue. The mall is huge, as are a number of malls in Santiago. You can really find every shop, every brand and soon Madonna will open her fitness center here!

Great place to visit. Great shops and places to eat. You can find pretty much anything you’re looking for here and shops are very friendly to visit, even if just browsing.

It's not a mall for everybody, if you are trying to find something new and you're coming from the US, Europe or even some parts of Asia try to avoid it is more of the same. If you don't mind being back to the nearest shopping mall at home, the Parque Arauco mall is great, near a lot of hotels in Las Condes, has really good restaurants and stores, the main problem may be the prices some of them (if you compare) are really high in comparison to what you are used to. For example a Gap t-shirt in the US about 10"dlrs and in Chile about 20. But even if that is scary, the shopping mall is one of the best options in Santiago, 15 minutes away from a subway station, near everything even a park! So, you don't loose anything trying.
