We engaged ILoveChile for private tours during our two days in Santiago before we boarded our cruise ship in Valparaiso. Sebastian was very helpful and responsive from the moment I contacted them through email. We were six friends and wanted private excursions for both days. We chose their Panoramic Andes tour for the first day and worked together to create a customized tour for the second which ended with being dropped off at our cruise ship in Valparaiso. Perfect! For the Panoramic Andes trip we had Fran, co-owner of ILoveChile, as our guide and Gonzolo as the driver of our comfortable mini bus. Our drive from downtown Santiago through the Maipo Canyon to the high Andes was the perfect balance of discussion, sightseeing, music and stops. Fran was a wealth of information first providing some insight into Chile's social unrest and culture as we drove through the city, and then turning to Andes geology, flora and fauna, local customs and tradition as well as industry as we drove through the country side. We passed through small towns and charming homes in the Maipo Canyon and made a picturesque stop along the river for refreshments before heading to the high Andes. We saw incredible scenery as Fran pointed out the features and named the mountain peaks and volcanoes for us. Our furthest stop was at about 6,000 feet where we took a short hike up for better views of peaks rising to over 18,000 feet. The sense of grandure in these mountains was awesome. Although we were not able to include the El Yeso Reservoir in our itinerary as the road was closed due to a recent landslide, our alternate stop for the wine tasting was in a picturesque valley surrounded by towering mountains with a view of grazing horses. While we stretched our legs and took photos, Fran set the table for our local wine tasting and snacks. We were able to spot Condor and Caracara here. Following our "cocktail" hour, we headed to a local resaurant for a typical Chilean lunch. Fran explained the entrees which were offered that day. We had the opportunity to taste dishes we might not have known to choose. Lunch consisted of bread, salad, our entree and dessert, all homemade, typical Chilean and delicious. Throughout the day Fran dug into her bag of suprises offering us bottles of water, candies, snack bags of chips and gifts. We had a game competition with prizes as well as quiet time listening to local music. It was a long day and drive but well worth it. Our second day began a bit later in the morning and took us in the opposite direction to Isla Negra, the seaside home of Pablo Neruda, and to a wine tasting at Indomita Vineyards. We had both ILoveChile owners this day with Seba driving and both Fran and Seba offering commentary. It was an equally enjoyable day through totally different scenery - vineyard valleys, euculyptus forrests, coastal mountains and the Pacific Ocean. At La Casa de Isla Negra, we had a self guided tour with personal audio sets through the home and collections of Chile's most famous and beloved literary figure. It was incredibly interesting and informative. We were able to walk through the parklike grounds surrounding the structures and enjoy the spectacular ocean views. Lunch was again included and we stopped at a cute restaurant in a forest, a place where the local families would go to eat. Indeed there were many families dining. It was another three course meal and we had the opportunity to enjoy a different entree and dessert. Following lunch we were taken to the beautiful Indomita Winery where we tasted 3 wines of our choice, enjoyed the views from their hilltop perch and were able to purchase bottles if we wished. As others have commented before us, Fran & Seba began as guides for two days but ended up as friends. They provided everything we needed, answered all our questions and dropped us off that evening at the Valparaiso Passenger Terminal with warm wishes and hugs. I highly recommend ILoveChile tours for any excursions within Santiago and Valparaiso or through the surrounding areas. You won't be disappointed.

We booked Ilovechile Tours for a transfer from the cruise port to the Santiago airport. As our flight was mid-evening, Ilovechile recommended a vineyard tour in the Casablanca Valley and as we had a lot of time, also took us through a number of seaside towns and resorts on the way to the vineyards. We toured and tasted in one vineyard prior to transferring to a second for an excellent gourmet lunch with wine pairings. A third tour and taste was planned, but we opted to just go there for the views. Our guide Carlos was excellent giving us great insights into Chile and the sights we were seeing. We were 5 friends in a minivan plus luggage and had plenty of room. I would highly recommend this tour company.

Seb and Fran hosted four of us on a day trip to the Andes Mountains. Our day started with a pick up at our downtown hotel and we were immediately drawn to their bubbly and warm personalities. They had water available for us as we made our way out of town and through the Maipo Canyon with it's interesting little towns and the Maipo River. We stopped along the way to share a drink of either coffee, tea or hot chocolate. Commentary along the way was very informative and we learned a lot about the area and it's characteristics. We proceeded further into the Andes Mts. and had numerous stops for pictures and information about what we were seeing. We were lucky enough to witness an avalanche off of one of the glaciers in the distance. We saw birds, wildlife, horses, sheep, goats and the working dogs at a ranch. We had a delicious wine tasting complete with snacks and later played a local game of skill. We were treated to an amazing lunch at a local restaurant and it included a typical meal from that region, which was delicious. All the while, our hosts were charming and kept us entertained with stories and anecdotes about the region. We were lucky enough to have a brilliant sunny day with very warm weather. Our trip concluded back at our hotel with little surprise gifts and we reluctantly said goodbye to our friends Seb and Fran. This tour was definitely one of the highlights of our time in Santiago and we would highly recommend using ilovechilitours for any sightseeing in the area. We started the tour as passengers and guides and ended as friends.

Had a private day tour for 2 couples, that included a winery tour, lunch and visit to Valparaiso. We required that tour ended in San Antonio for boarding a cruise ship. ILoveChileTours easily accommodated this request. Our tour guide (Francesca) was superb, a wealth of information on all aspects of the tour and made the day fun! Got to experience some great Chilean wine on the wine tour and toured around both the port area and the upper part of the city as well as sample local Chilean cuisine for lunch (included)! Highly recommended!!
