These natural falls are stunning... By car, it’s a beautiful drive from Puerto Varas along Lake Llanquihue... maybe half an hour. Once you arrive, you enter through the gift shops and can immediately hear the sound of the falls gushing through the rocks. The entrance...More

The falls at Petrohué are so beautiful. You walk a short distance and can begin to hear the falls. Then as you approach the sight is amazing. The color of the water combined with the rushing of the falls is amazing, but then add the...More

On your way to or from the Lake District, it is well worth a stop in the Vicente Perez Rosales National Park to visit the falls. There are several fairly easy hikes/trails that you can take for a short amount of time. It cost $2500...More

The waterfalls are easily reached from Puerto Varas and worth a visit. The falls themselves are a little underwhelming, but they do have great views up to Volcan Osorno, which is of course your main focus in this area. You should only come here on...More

We visited these falls enroute to Puerto Varas from Bariloche (Lakes Crossing). While the falls themselves are fairly unimpressive, the views of the two volcanoes looking over the river are amazing. It cost us US$6 to enter the National Park but there are clean toilets....More

If the weather is clear it should not be missed because of the wide waterfalls and the volcanos in the background.

The Waterfalls at Petrohue are truly wonderful but, for me, the continuous notices, marked paths and barriers rather detract from the natural beauty of the place. I would have like to have wandered about a bit more and to be trusted not to fall or...More
