Incredible Views

Wonderful and incredible views of three volcanoes. Take the boat ride, it's well worth it. You can get photos of all the mountains and have different views than people on land.

We took Cruce Andino's 12 hour bus/boat trip across the Andes from Puerto Varas to Bariloche and one of the longest legs of the trip is the catamaran ride across Lago Todos Los Santos. It is an indescribably spectacular lake surrounded by the cordillera of the Andes. In the good weather that we enjoyed (but often not experienced by other... More

We went on the boat tour up to Peulla, where other people continued their journey to Bariloche. We came back to Chile on the same day. The views from the ship are breathtaking. Everything is so calm, and you get to see three volcanos. The Osorno looks stunning from there, and you can see it very close!! I totally recommend... More

We took the boat ride to Peulla. It was a long boat right (1.5 hours) but so beautiful. Definitely want to do this on a nice day and in the afternoon - we noticed that many times in the morning, the volcanos were surrounded by clouds.

The passage from Argentina to Chile, through Lago Todos Los Santos, is a beautiful journey. The colours of the lake, the vegetation in its margins and the imposing presence of the volcanoes combine to produce a lasting memory of this region.

We arrived at the lake and then found that the boat trip was an eight hour jaunt- much more than we wanted. We were able to arrange with a local boatman at the dock to take us out for a hour for a very reasonable price. The little museum just beyond the parking lot is excellent and should not be... More

Is an amazing place and really beautiful. The water has an incredible color. I regret not swimming in it (even if I don't know if I'm actually allowed to). Es un lugar maravilloso y muy bonito. El agua tiene un color increíble. Me arrepiento de no haberme bañado (aunque no se si esta permitido o no).

Enjoyed the crossing to Bariloche. Fantastic scenery. Reminded me of the Alaska inside passage in some places.

We took a bus from Puerto Varas to the lake (2,500 pesos each way) and it took about one hour. The lake is beautiful and very peaceful to sit and relax, as long as you don't get attacked by the annoying and vicious "cow-fly" (you'll know when you've encountered it). The sand is volcanic and you are not allowed to... More

Worth a stop if driving by or if a rushing river is a new experience. For us, nothing special but a nice place to walk. For others it might be a new experience and therefore special. I guess I am trying to say " this will certainly not be a highlight but am glad we took a look".
