This big lake is really Nice especially with this View on Orsono volcano . This is peaceful. Thé sand is black due to thé volcanic area and it makes thé lake different to other you might see in other places.

Sadly my visit was short - a day trip from a cruise. The lake was sparking, skies clear, views of Fuji-like Orsono spectacular on our way to Petrohue Falls. Would love to go back as plenty of opportunities for kayaking, walking and enjoying the beautiful area.

This really is a beautiful freshwater lake bounded by the small city of Puerto Varas to the west, and notably Volcan Osorno to the east. From PV you can drive the southern shore of the lake and find many gems of lunch spots or camping places, even though there are a lot of fenced private properties as well. Continue on... More

We rented kayaks here for only $5 an hour and paddled on this beautiful lake. We were here two days and never did see a full volcano, but large parts which were great. I wish that Zi had had time to drive all the way around the entire lake, maybe next time!!

Swimming is wonderful in this lake. Also, some activities happen here. We were there when there was an air show. What a bonus. You never know what you're going to see there.

We did the drive from Puerto Varas east round the Lake. The views are stunning especially of the snow capped Volcano Osorno. A must if you are in the Lake District.

Taking bus, boat, bus, boat, bus from Punta Arenas to Bariloche was quite the trip and the scenery particularly on this lake was not to be believed. The Andes and the volcano with beautiful cloud formations above made for a miraculous voyage that could only be captured by the mind and not by photographs.

This is one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen. The vastness of the lake is overwhelming and when you can see my osorno you are able to appreciate the wonder of nature!

The lake is lovely to walk beside for a short way, a bit too big for a round- the- lake hike! Beautiful views of Osorno volcano. We went on a cruise for an hour from Puerto Varas, on a small comfortable craft. Pisco sours & juice were served midway. There was a choice of cabin seating downstairs or benches outside... More
