We took a ferry from Caleta La arena to Puelche in order to continue our trip trough La Carretera Austral. The service was good and fast, they work 24 hours, with a ferry leaving every 15-20 minutes (in summer time) and every 30-45 minutes the...More

Clouds were obscuring the Osorno Volcano so we decided to take this drive and were unbelievably impressed, even though the skies were not clear . This is not an easy drive- it was roughly 200km round trip from our hotel in Puerto Varas. Significant parts...More

The boat trip does not take too long and the views of the volcanos are amazing. A good place to go with the kids.

Everything about the Chilean waterways are amazing and beautiful. The landscapes, mountains, and sea side among the most spectacular in the world.

We have made the whole way by car. It was a partislly cloud da but we had great views from the Reloncavi. The place seems to the Jurassic Park! Great experience of wildlife nature!

Go hire a boat trip to this area, or drive from inland into it. You will not forget the beauty of this area. Just beautiful.

Large protected bay with snow-capped volcanoes in the distance. Water relatively mild for swimming. Only visual drawback is Puerto Montt, which despite its terraced setting has grown too large and unattractivebut doesn't impact the overall setting and the shellfish are to die for.
