We visited on a wet, windy and cold day so probably saw it in its worst light. It was all a bit grey and like a concrete jungle. I wouldn't recommend.....

My husband and I went to spend the day. We arrived from Puerto Varas by public transport. We walked a large part of the coastline. Near the bus station it seemed a little unsafe, with some people in a suspicious attitude, drinking alcohol and smoking. Quite deserted in the morning hours. Near the Plaza de Armas everything is much more lively and beautiful.
