We visited the Amazon from Manaus just before the Rio Olympics and wow. It is mind blowing. We were a group of middle aged guys with some grumpy, some not touristy fans etc and ALL were blown away by the sheer scale, variety, beauty etc. Definitely a bucket list experience for everyone.

The Amazon was the most amazing trip i've ever been on in my entire life and a HUGE part of that was going with Amazon Green Tours & Elso Lima. My roommate and I booked a tour after graduation not knowing what to expect and had the time of our life. From the amazing food to the cultural experience, everything... More

I'm still reliving that extraordinary experience: surviving the Amazon jungle for eight nights with only a machete, my backpack and two skilled guides. I saw, did and ate things that I can never forget, and having gone on this survival trail with Paula and Elso was one of the best decisions of my life. It wasn't easy; such a rugged... More

We had 5 people so booked the 4 night boat tour and was fortunate enough to have the boat to ourselves and crew of 5-6 ppl. Elso is a great guide with a wealth of knowledge, accommodating, and outgoing. I would high recommend this tour to anyone who wants to see many sights, animals, and food of the amazon. This... More

I took the trip with my girlfriend and my parents. We slept 1 night in Elso´s lodge and another night in the jungle in hamoks. The first day we traveled up the river to see a traditional tribe, swim with pink dolphins and fish piranhas. After that Elso´s wife´s lovely family cooked us a great lunch of Tambaqui fish and... I had the chance of the lifetime, a dream came true, to visit the Amazonas rainforest and spend the most of the one week vacation in the jungle forest, to be honest I had some options with two different tours companies I went into Tripadvisor picked them all and send them emails for more information, Antonio from Aguia Amazonas Tours... Antonio at Aguia Amazonas Turismo was the first person I reached out to as I began to plan my Amazon visit and he made it easy to create and itinerary and plan my trip. I spent four days and three nights with him and my guide Mateus and had a truly memorable and remarkable experience. I stayed in the simple... More

Really nice. First few days in Manaus, then four days cruise on the river. Enjoyable. The Iberostar ship was deluxe ship with 75 cabins with queen size bed, balcony, fridge full of drinks. The few hour trip deeper into the canals with speedboats were interesting. Not so many animals in sight, though.

Traveling from the US, we just returned back from our trip to Brazil where we spent 3 nights in the Amazon with Rambo. Our trip was booked 6 months in advance, he communicated with us about our itinerary, what to bring with us, our arrival and departure info so airport pick up could be scheduled and all. We had an...
