We took the Patrick Watts tour on 14th January. It turned out to be better than what Patrick had promised in his e mail or what we had expected. From the moment we got off the tender at the pier, we were taken complete care...More

We booked our trip a year in advance knowing how quickly Patrick gets booked up. As we were coming from the UK we had the added bonus of a reduced rate for paying in £Sterling and our actual cost was 2/3 less than our cruise...More

We did this tour with Tony Smith. It's a long drive to Volunteer point (3 hours, half of it off road) but it's well worth it. There are so many King penguins at this place that we were happy to wander around for 3 hours.

This is not a trip for those who get travel sick! Two and a half hours bouncing around in an old Land Rover (not comfortable) with nothing to see on the way. But once you arrive it is absolutely worth the discomfort. A beautiful beach...More

We stayed at Volunteer house for 2 nights in early November and it was wonderful. Our LATAM flight was delayed by 48 hours but no matter, we made up for lost time as soon as we got to Volunteer Point by maximizing our time outdoors....More

We have just stayed at Volunteer Point. What a great experience! of course the King Penguins are a highlight. Hosts Derek and Trudy added SO MUCH to our experience - warm and generous hosts. And Trudy's cooking is super. Highly recommended.

Yes it is a bumpy ride to get to Vounteer Point In the Falklands but it is worth it and takes about two hours or little less to get there but once there you can literally walk amongst the penguins in their own habitat. Have...More

Tony arranged to pick us up from Stanley a little later than scheduled to avoid the cruise ship tours. He was friendly and informative as he drove along roads that became progressively smaller, until for the last hour or so they vanished altogether. We watched...More
