Volunteer Point is a long long way over rough terrain in 4 wheel drive vehicles. Over 2 hours there and 75 minutes there and over 2 hours back over rough terrain is not the best way to see penguins!! Although you are seeing rare King...More

We booked a tour of Volunteer Point with Nyree of Estancia Excursions. It was the trip of a lifetime. There are thousands of nesting King Penguins as well as other varieties. Nyree met our cruise ship as soon as the tender docked. We were early...More

We were lucky that our tender could arrive at Stanley, as that part of the world sometimes is tricky to land. We disembarked our ship on 25th Jan and Patrick was on the dock as promised, with his team of drivers. We were immediately despatched...More

Less expensive and more personable than booking with the ship Jimmy Curtis did an amazing job sharing information and ensuring that we had the safest off-road experience. We rode in a Range Rover with another couple. He was careful to ensure that all his company...More

This is the excursion that we looked forward to the most because it was our only chance to see the King Penguins. The Falkland Islands themselves are wonderful and not to be missed but the King Penguins is the best thing to do on the...More

We took a trip to Volunteer Point with Nyree from Estancia tours. It was great: informative, interesting, and unique. We walked around and next to fields of thousands of three types of penguins just feet from us. Well worth the trip and the highlight of...More

It's a few 100m. There's a small shelter (and toilets) where the 4x4 parks. There are no manmade paths to follow.
